¿Que programa recomiendas como "el mejor" para calibrar la imagen del proyector?
Me refiero a programas propios de PC, no DVE... etc..

Dicen que el mejor es ColorFacts... pero vale un pastón y no existen copias "ilegales" por ahí, al menos la última vez que miré.

los otros, los más sencillos, son todos muy parecidos, algunos incluyen unos tests y otros tienen algunos distintos... echa un vistazo al enlace en el que hay varios programas y pruébalos tú mismo, pero ya verás que son muy parecidos...

He probado el ShowShifter, un front-end barato que se incluye con mandos para PC y la verdad es que no está nada mal, con una Hauppauge Win-Nova T (dvb-t) va de lujo, el zapeo más rápido que he visto en ningún front-end. Lástima que no soporta la SkyStar2, aunque espero que sea cuestión de tiempo. Por lo demás altamente configurable y con un interface diseñado para no tener que tocar más que el mando a distancia.

vaya cosa rara me pasa. Cuando descargo ese parche para el TT son 20 megas y en el foro dice que se puede instalar sin desinstalar la versión anterior, dando así a entender que es el programa completo. Hasta aquí bien, pero cuando lo descargo y ejecuto no aparece el instalador del TT sino de driver cleaner 3 con una curiosa opción de "nividia fix". Siguiedo todos los pasos lo único que se instala es el driver cleaner pero aparentemente el TT queda inalterado, puesto que la verisión sigue poniendo en mi caso 2.2.032.

Un poco raro...

No sé si a lo mejor ese driver cleaner hace alguna modificación en los drivers de nvidia, pero el cabrón del administrador de TT no explica prácticamente nada.

¿¿¿Lo que??? ¿un poco raro...?, Conan eso no es un "poco" raro, es raro de requetequetecojones.
EL TT no tiene nada, nada, que ver con el driver cleaner que es para drivers no para codecs de video, te ha saltado eso como te podía haber saltado el instalador del tetris.
¿Que drivers estás usando?, recomendados muy especialmente, tanto por NVidia como por Andrew de TT los 81.85 WHQL.
Lo que te descargas es una actualización que en realidad, efectivamente com tu dices, es todo el programa.
Antes de instalarlo te recomiendo que hagas una copia de la carpeta donde esté instalado el TT porque hay quien tiene problemas de micro-trompicones con los TS a 1080i y se soluciona reurilizando el ejecutable de la 2.1.1, yo no los he tenido con la 7800 pero a lo mejor con algo mas pequeño si puede ser.
La instalación debería ser sencilla de pelotas, ejecutar, responder sí a si queremos actualizar y la a correr que es gerundio (como diría S. Mazagatos).
Yo no he notado ninguna diferencia de la 2.2.032 a la 2.2.15 pero la verdad es que ahora que tengo el esclador el HTPC lo uso de uvas a peras.

Cire se trata de un DVDO iScan HD+, dentro de este mundillo es de los modestos (1.600€) sobre todo comparado con lo que se avecina en los próximos meses basado en los chips de Realta y Gennum que estará en torno a los 4.000€ de media, pero en calidad es muy bueno.
Además me permite usar la salida DVI del PC y covertirla a YPbPr, que es lo que admite mi tele, antes tenía que usar la salida por componentes de la 7800 que no tiene nada que ver en color ni en definición.
Ahora me he pillado un DVD con salida SDI y el módulo SDI para el escalador que espero recibir el día 7. No se si conoces esto del SDI pero para mi que tengo un CRT (eso si HDTV) es fundamental para sacar la máxima calidad posible.
La diferencia en calidad de imagen respecto al HTPC no es enorme, ni siquiera grande pero en comodidad/silencio es el como comparar a Dios con un gitano. Cuando lo pruebas volver al HTPC se te hace un mundo, y te lo digo yo que soy un forofo empedernido de ellos.

Si a alguien le interesa, me he confeccionado mi propio paquete de codecs. Ocupa 11 megas, pero se puede seleccionar cuáles instalar y cuáles no. Tiene los de Intervideo (v. 7), Cyberlink (v.6), Nvidia (los últimos Purevideo), Elecard, Moonlight, y unos cuantos más que no recuerdo ahora mismo. No crean conflicto entre ellos y vienen con instalador y desinstalador incluido.

aviso: este paquete de codecs lo hice para uso personal y es muy pero que muy alpha. por ejemplo, aunque permite qué instalar y qué no, si desactivamos alguna casilla, no instala nada. es decir, o se instala todo o nada. ya intentaré arreglarlo. tampoco hay un listado con los codecs (yo ya sé qué hay de memoria), etc, etc. es decir, esto lo hice para uso personal y para instalar codecs en casas de amigos, etc.

insisto, no soy partidario de los paquetes de codecs, pero en ciertos casos me resulta muy útil :agradecido

puede interesar en el caso de que alguien quiere actualizarse los últimos codecs de Purevideo de Nvidia o windvd, etc, sin tener que bajar los programas enteros.

si encuentran un bug, no duden en decírmelo e intentaré arreglarlo. también es bienvenida cualquier sugerencia para añadir o eliminar codecs/filtros existentes.

no he puesto un readme.txt a propósito porque sé que mucha gente no los lee, así que he puesto algunos comentarios en la ventana de instalación, que es más probable que ahí sí que se lea. recomiendo leerla.

un bug que no he comprobado del paquete de codecs es el tema de la "asociación". es decir, para intervideo he copiado iviaudio.ax y ivivideo.ax, pero no estoy 100% seguro que con ese baste. a veces esos .ax estás asociados a otros archivos y los necesitan para funcionar. si alguien detecta algún fallo en ese sentido, que me lo diga y lo arreglo (añado el archivo que haga falta).

El transcoder de las X1800 en acción: IMPRESIONANTE.

ExtremeTech ha probado una beta de lo que será una aplicación que ha creado la propia ATI para la conversión de video entre distintos formatos. Utiliza la potencia de cálculo de propósito general de las X1800 para realizar las conversiones.

En sus pruebas han medido el rendimiento respecto a un X2 4800+, superándole en la mayoría de circunstancias en una proporción de 1:5. Es decir, donde el AMD ha tardado unos 4 minutos y medio, la X1800 XT sólo empleó 25 segundos.

Por el momento se trata de una beta, limitada al video, y con pocas opciones respecto a lo que debería ser la versión final. Se espera que a finales de año se lance oficialmente.

Tanto los DVDs como los clips HDTV, los clips HD ya sean TS o WMV con una fluidez como nunca había visto.
Y encima la "usabilidad" (si es que existe este palabro) ha ganado muchísimos enteros (ya en la 2.2).

sí que he probado el update y es cierto, resuelve de un plumazo los problemas de tirones que había en el 2.2 con videos HD.
Desgraciadamente estoy pasando por una época sin proyector, aunque espero comprarme uno antes de fin de año (el mitsu HC3000 parece un gran candidato :atope ).
De todas maneras este viernes por la mañana voy a hacer una visita a un propietario de un Toshiba MT500 y nos vamos a cascar la reciente captura de Blade Runner en 1080i grabadita en 2 dvd-r de doble capa (+ de 16 GB). Prometo impresiones y fotos...

Como con el Zp+FFdshow+Avisynth no consigo evitar los golpes (AMD 64 3000 Venice, 6600GT, 1Gb Ram) he probado el TeatherTek y me he quedado :amor de la calidad de imagen y lo fluido que va, además de lo facil que es usarlo.

Solo le falta un poco de nitidez del Avisynth (no he podido probarlo con FFdshow porque al ponerlo de segundo postprocesado el TT peta) pero en conjunto me gusta tanto que estoy planteandome comprar la 2.2. Un par de preguntillas para los expertos del TT:

- ¿Alguno lo usais con mando a distancia? ¿Es posible prescindir completamente del raton con la 2.2 :alloro ?
- Bman, ¿has conseguido que el TT reconozca el LCD de la Silverstone LC03V?

en cuanto consiga una reproducción fluida en ZP sin FFDShow (con FFDshow hace falta mucha máquina) cuelgo aquí la configuración:

H.264, also known as MPEG4 AVC (or Advanced Video Coding), is one of the best video compression standards in existence today.

While still under the MPEG4 specification, it has nothing to do with the MPEG4 used in XVID/DIVX. It is a more advanced format requiring a much stronger CPU to decode. This format is relatively new and encoders/decoders may not support the full standard at this point, or offer true compatibility between encoders (which can create playback problems later on), which is one of the reason the format hasn't taken off more.

As the format is somewhat new, playing H.264 clips may be a bit of a hassle. Currently, using a recent versions of ffdshow is the best open-source choice for this format. Additional decoders may be found in the Nero Suite or with the Elecard Decoder Pack (The H.264 decoder may not be included in all of Elecard's or Nero's installation packages).

It has been chosen by apple for use in their HDTV video clips within the QuickTime v7 environment and may be used in the HD-DVD standard for video compression. You can play the Apple QuickTime-HD (480p/720p/1080p) Trailers without the use of QuickTime by installing the latest versions of ffdshow and the Haali Media Splitter.

A mí me es muy pero que muy útil cuando instalo filtros en casa de alguien; configurar los filtros en ZP es la parte más tediosa, y así lo hacemos en un abrir y cerrar de ojos. Con el tiempo se quedará obsoleta, pero mientras tanto sirve perfectamente.

Si al instalar Zoomplayer hemos cambiado la ruta, entonces es mejor elegir la primera opción (descomprimir y copiar manualmente los archivos).

En la web de descarga de drivers de Nvidia ya aparece esta nueva versión de controladores para las tarjetas gráficas de Nvidia, llegamos a la versión 81.94 que está disponible tanto en versión de 32 bits como de 64 bits en nuestra sección de drivers.

Lo primero que podemos destacar es que tanto ATi como Nvidia están sacando puntualmente los drivers para Windows 32 y 64 a la vez y por lo tanto podríamos considerar este tema como normalizado, a falta de los drivers de otros componentes que aún no han llegado a este punto.

Por otro lado hemos modificado los ficheros de descarga a petición de nuestros lectores, que pedían que enlazaramos a la versión internacional de estos drivers y no a la versión inglesa, así lo hemos hecho, invirtiendo los enlaces y manteniendo 1 en inglés y 4 en múltiples lenguajes.

Desde el punto de vista de esta entrega de drivers añaden el soporte para las nuevas GeForce 7800 GTX de 512 Mb presentadas ayer y de las GeForce 6800 GS presentadas el lunes de la semana anterior. También mejoran muchos aspectos del SLI, el soporte para procesadores Dual core y mejoras de rendimiento y compatibilidad en el Quake4 y Call of Duty 2. Quiero agradecerte el aviso del Nuevo DVD Decoder Nvidia, sinceramente el tema ha evolucionado mucho desde las primeras versiones. Me he quedado anonadado de la agilidad del programa y la fiabilidad del mismo, sinceramente me ha sorprendido gratamente, lastima que no tenga soporte VFD y nuevos plug-ins como el Media Portal.

cirerita, perdona que te moleste (nuevamente), pero quiero instalarme la última versión del SkyView y ya no sé lo que tengo que bajarme. Por un lado, en el primer primer apartado de otro post (Guía HTPC: 05 - Satélite I (con Skyview)), dices que hace falta el programa, la actualización test y la Actualización SkyAVC.ax (necesario para que funcione bien el programa); pero por otro lado, en este post aparecen varias veces los conceptos "multinstallation", "full", etc.

¿Podrías indicarme qué tengo que instalarme para tener lo último (estable)? Es decir, no sé si, por ejemplo, bajándome la versión "fullinstall" o la "multinstallation" ya no necesito (o sí) el test yel SkyAVC.AX.

1) bájate full install. instálalo
2) luego baja último syview.exe test y último skyavc.ax y sobreescribe los que acabas de instalar con full install.

el multiinstal sólo lo necesitas si quieres 2 skyview o más funcionando a la vez.

Edito para añadir que tengo un problema (creo). Al instalar el Fullinstall no tengo ningún skyavc.ax. Copio el que me he bajado, sobreescribo el skyview.exe y cuando arranco el programa, me aparece un mensaje de error:

"SkyAVC.ax no está disponible. Regístralo o copialo al directorio actual".

Lo copio pero me desaparece.
Intento registrarlo ("regsvr32 \Archivos de programa\SkyView\Filters\SkyAVC.ax")
y me aparece un mensaje de error:

"Error en LoadLibrary ("\Archivos") - No se puede encontrar el módulo especificado.

No entiendo nada.


¿Alguna idea?

abre un archivo .txt, escribe esto:

regsvr32 SkyAVC.ax

graba el archivo como "registrar.bat" (guardar como todos los archivos o algo así, tiene que grabarse como archivo .bat, no como archivo .txt).

ejecuta el archivo .bat (tiene que estar en el mismo directorio que skyavc.ax)

Ante todo, gracias por la paciencia, cirerita.

Muy buen truco. En principio, funciona. Digo lo de "en principio" porque, efectivamente, consigo que se registre con éxito.

El problema está en que cuando vuelvo a ejecutar el programa, me sigue apareciendo el mensajito de marras ("SkyAVC.ax no está disponible. Regístralo o copialo al directorio actual o ... \Filtros\subdirecorio!"). Lo curioso del caso (o no?) es que si acepto el mensajito, puedo entrar al programa sin problemas.

No sé si soy yo que estoy espeso (más de lo normal) o qué está pasando.
Lo dejo por ahora y por la noche volveré a la carga.

De todas formas, hay algo que no acabo de ver claro. Cuando instalo el "fullinstall", en la carpeta "Filters" se me instala un SkyAVC.ax, con 325 KB de tamaño y fecha 02/11/2005. Y el que me bajo de la WEB (para sobreescribir el anterior) tiene el mismo tamaño (en principio, esto no tiene porqué ser raro), pero es de fecha 22/09/2005.
¿No te parece extraño, o es que no me estoy bajando el SkyAVC.ax que toca?

marfi actualiza skyavc con cierta frecuencia porque a los 2-3 meses "expira", de ahí que las fechas varíen.

el multiinstall no es necesario instalarlo salvo que quieras tener 2 o más skyview en marcha A LA VEZ.

no, significa que tienes que usar el último porque los anteriores ya han expirado; y también significa que los skyavc.ax suelen tener un tamaño distinto porque marfi los reescribe para mejorarlos.

¿Con WinDVD me vale?

4: Para desproteger DVDs y recompilarlos quitando menús, extras, y sonido no original. ¿Con DVD Fab Platinum me vale?

5: Para audio, quiero pasar CD-A a MP3 y a WAV

te contesto aquí, pero la próxima vez te rogaría que hicieras las preguntas en la guía correspondiente; este hilo es para anunciar novedades de software, no para hablar sobre configuraciones. :aprende

1) La audigy 7.1 es buena. Me esperaría un poco para comprar una compatible con HDA y con DD Live.

2) Gráfica, ni idea. Hay demasiadas en el mercado ahora mismo para sabérselas todas, pero cualquier novedad de Nvidia o Ati por encima de 100 euros suele cumplir con lo MÍNIMO.

3) WinDVD te vale para DVDs, pero te recomiendo ZP con los filtros de WinDVD.

4) Mejor DVDShrink o DVD Decrypter. DVD Fab va bien para grabar los DVD9 en 2 DVD.

5) Para pasar a mp3 wav y lo que quieras el programa más completo y fiable es DbPowerAmp.

6) Hay muchos formatos lossless en el mercado: MonkeyAudio, FLAC, etc.

The new feature and enhancement list for this release is simply staggering:

* The encoder now includes full support for single CPU, HyperThreaded (HT), dual CPU (SMP) and dual core processors. Encoding performance is vastly improved on systems with multiple logical processors and even on those with only a single CPU. We benchmarked the encoder on everything from stock P4 processors to those with HyperThreading(HT), Dual AMD systems, AMD's new dual core X2 chips and Intel's flagship dual core + HT Pentium D Extreme Edition. Scroll down to see some of the results!
* The decoder now supports multithreading for improved playback performance on all HT, SMP and dual core processors. To enable it you need to use the Decoder Configuration Utility (which you'll find in the 'DivX' group on your Start menu) to ensure "Reduce CPU spikes using one frame delay" is enabled and some level of post-processing is set (we recommend the default, "Automatic Deblocking"). Multithreading will then be applied to any video with B-frames, including most Home Theater and High Definition media.
* The performance of Extreme quality and Insane quality modes has been improved - you can now get production quality video in even less time! Our testing shows that these modes are between 70% and 80% faster, even on regular single CPU machines.
* A new High-performance mode has been created which benches anywhere from 90% to 160% faster than Balanced mode in the 6.0 codec depending on CPU type. This mode yields slightly lower compression but has good quality and is perfectly suited to live-capture applications and other rapid encoding applications. When we used a D1 MPEG-2 source video using AVISynth and VirtualDubMod on our Pentium D Extreme Edition we averaged 150fps, encoding a clip that was 5.3 minutes long in just 51 seconds! Best of all, the output from this mode will play on DivX Certified devices!
* We have significantly enhanced Fastest mode, with virtually zero performance impact. In the DivX 5.x and DivX 6.0 codecs Fastest mode used no motion estimation and was therefore capable of producing very high quality video but with very low compression. That meant that it was possible to use this mode for live capture on slower computers but with two major drawbacks: file sizes were huge and the output could not be played immediately on DivX Certified devices - you had to re-encode it in one of the other encoding modes first. In the 6.1 codec, compression for this mode has improved so much that it's possible to encode directly into DivX Certified profiles with small, good quality files.
* You can now specify a target quantizer instead of an average bitrate during encoding, enabling you to avoid multipass encoding altogether in certain circumstances, reducing encoding time by half! This new method even works with DivX encoding profiles!
* We've added more optimizations for processors supporting SSE2 extensions. English translation: If you have a newer CPU things will go slightly faster for you.
* DivX High Definition profile now allows up to 6Mbps average bitrate for crystal clear HD video, even with your nose pressed against your 60" HD plasma TV.
* A new Lanczos resize filter is included in the encoder, enabling very sharp resizing during export from any video suite.
* Quarter-pixel motion estimation has been enhanced for performance, and is now available in all modes from Balanced through Insane when Unconstrained Profile is selected. Please remember that using quarter-pixel motion estimation (or simply switching to Unconstrained Profile) means that your videos are highly unlikely to play well, if at all, in your DivX Certified device.
* The Feedback Window now displays VBV level and has variable axis for PSNR plots, making it easy to monitor encodes with very high PSNR metric results.
* The Feedback Window now contains controls for changing VBV bitrate, performance mode, and psychovisual enhancement in real time during encoding.
* MPEG quantization has been improved
* Brightness, Contrast, and Saturations controls now operate correctly in the DivX Decoder for DirectShow

a ver si me podéis echar una mano. Me montado un HTPC, ha quedado chulísimo. Instalo XP pro SP2. Y empiezan los problemas, algunos programas y juegos los puedo instalar, pero otros no, precisamente los relacionados con el HTPC.

-MediaPortal, me dice que tengo que tener el .NET FrameWork 1.1
(Perfecto, soy programador y en algún momento necesitaré el .NET)

Da problemas con los controles ActiveX de internet.

Una pregunta, a ver si te ha pasado alguna vez.

Me aparece el icono de los codecs de Nvidia abajo a la derecha , pulso sobre él, y no me sale el menu de lo codecs, le doy al botón contextual del ratón (el derecho) sobre el icono, me aparece las dos opciones Nvidia y about (creo) le doy about y me dice versión del codec, pero le doy al otro y me sigue sin salir el Menu de los codecs de Nvidia.
¿Te ha pasado?
¿Puede ser que tanga alguna librería mal?
Empleo los 4020.188.0.0.

casi no uso los codecs de Nvidia por aquello de que tengo una Radeon, pero por lo que recuerdo, lo digo de memoria, me pasaba lo mismo: me aparecía el icono en la barra de tareas pero no podía acceder a las propiedades del codec; tenía que abrir ZP, ir a filtros y modificarlo desde ahí.

por fin el mejor decoder de mpeg2 (en mi opinión) se lanza a fondo a la reproducción de mpeg2 HD (.ts) 1080i
Lo estoy probando desde zoomplayer y es con diferencia lo más fluido y hermoso que he visto NUNCA. En serio, los archivos .ts más puñeteros que tengo que con las mejores combinaciones hasta ahora conocidas seguían sin satisfacerme del todo, ahora son gloria. Es el mejor desentrelazado que he visto y supera al Purevideo de NVIDIA de lejos...

La única putada, y aquí es donde al amigo cirerita animo es que cuando avanzas el vídeo el cabroncete se queda congelado y no hay manera de avanzar y en principio el dscaler audio no consigo que funcione como filtro de audio con archivos .ts con ac3.

A probar!!!!!!!!

el campéon que diseña Dscaler recomienda instalar TSREADER y usarlo como filtro en vez de hdtv ts pump. Lo he instalado, lo he selecionado como filtro y magia ya se puede avanzar el clip hacia alante y atrás. Lo curioso es que cuando le doy a filter properties al ZP me sigue saliendo el hdtv ts pump, pero noy hay duda que el tsreader algo ha instalado que me ha hecho que pueda navegar por el clip .ts sin problemas.

Me podeis decir como configurais el Dscaler :amor , a primera vista se ve de pelotas.

Edito para decir que se ve muy bien en imagenes estaticas pero en imagenes rapidas me falla el desentrelazado, se me ve como a franjas desincronizadas.

He instalado tambien el filtro TSreader pero no como se hace funcionar, me da el zoomplayer un error de Graph.

Vamos que soy un poco torpe, una ayudita.

Tengo dos archivos de subtítulos (cada uno para un idioma) en formato .srt, y busco la manera de juntarlos en un archivo único .sub, para después, desde el Zoom Player, tenerlos todos y poder seleccionar el que me apetezca.

¿Existe algún programa para hacer eso, o de forma manual (editando, copiando, pegando con el bloc de notas)?

pues nunca lo he hecho, pero por ahí circulan muchos ficheros de subtítulos con 2 o más idiomas. supongo que Subtitle Workshop permite hacer eso sin problemas.

He estado probando con ese programa, y l único que tiene es una herramienta llamada Join. Pero lo único que hace es concatenarlos.

Al reproducir con el ZP me salen ambos a la vez, sin posibilidad de escoger uno u otro.

Tal vez, si pudiese conseguir algún fichero de esos que mencionas para comprender su codificación, me serviría para mi propósito.

en las redes P2P hay muchos; es posible que en Extratitles también haya. muchas veces tienen extensión .sub por un lado y .idx por otro.

de hecho, ahora que lo pienso, en la guía "subtítulos" hay al menos 1-2 capturas en las que se aprecia lo que comento.

Llevo unas semanas haciendo pruebas con un frontend para el Mame (estoy preparando mi máquina recreativa -pinchar junto al marcianito de mi firma- para cuando compre el pc nuevo y deje dentro el actual) y veo que también tiene opciones para reproducir archivos de video, DVD, emisoras de radio..., en fin tiene de todo un poco.

Viene preparado para ser usado con Windows Media Center, pero lo podéis instalar en cualquier pc con XP. Es totalmente configurable y fácil de utilizar.

Me explico. Estoy pasando mis DVDs al disco duro, donde no tengo limitaciones de espacio. Así, quiero unir las películas que están divididas en 2 discos.
¿Cómo lo hago?
Lo primero que hago con todos los DVDs es quitarles cualquier cosa que no sea la película, es decir, menús, extras, etc.

ersion 2.3 is now available for download from the Support area. As with the previous release this is a full installer and will update an existing installation of 2.x to 2.3. The updated manual for 2.3 will be released next week, but I wanted everyone to have the opportunity to use the new version over the holiday weekend.

Changes new in 2.3:
- Automatic Aspect Ratio detection for DVD's for constant height users.
On the General tab choose 'Smart' from the Auto Aspect Ratio detection dropdown. When you start playback on a new DVD, TT will briefly blank the screen when the main title is reached and calculate the AR. For this to work successfully, you need to define some new AR's corresponding to the calculated AR. For example, if you define an AR called "2.35:1", TT will select this AR if it detects the movie AR to be 2.35:1. Detected AR's are 1.66:1, 1.78:1, 1.85:1, 2.20:1, 2.35:1, 2.40:1 and 2.55:1. Define as many of these as appropriate for your environment.
- Latest nVidia decoders, version 203, containing fixes, image quality and performance improvements.
- Additional MCE remote features. The 'i' key on the remote will now bring up the Status bar for the current media. The Guide button will now bring up the File Browser. Note: By default TT nows disabled the MCE ehtray background process. This prevents the Green button or certain other keys from launching the MCE UI. If you do not want this to happen, change the registry key under TheaterTek for 'KillEHTray' to 0. There is also a 'VerifyExit' registry setting to avoid the prompt when pressing the browse back key on the MCE remote.
- On the Video tab you can now choose to use the nVidia Demux instead of the Microsoft Demux for transport stream playback. The nVidia demux can do a better job on many ts files.
- The buffer for transport stream playback has been increased so playback from DVD-R may well work better.
- The mouse can now be permanently hidden by right clicking on the display. This acts like a toggle, so right-click again to bring it back. Note, this is remembered across launches of TT.
- Resume/Auto resume is now supported for media files. i.e the U key will resume playback of a media file the next time you play it.
- This version is 'stubbed' for VFD support, so LCDSmartie should be able to support TT 2.3 shortly.
- UI enhancements. The time bar now acts as a shuttle for DVD playback to make it consistent with media files. The accuracy or granularity of the time bar has also been improved. There are many other subtle UI improvements across the app.
- New hotkeys for AR and blanking adjustment. These make it very easy to make quick changes to the AR or blanking without using the AR editor. These are listed on the Hotkeys tab of the Config dialog.
- The trial has been increased to 14 days.
- Files that contain streams can have the stream selected either by the right-click context menu under streams, or on the Status UI bar by using down arrow when the file name is selected.
- GraphEdit file support. This is probably the largest and most advanced feature in 2.3 and is intended for advanced users. You can now using the Microsoft tool called GraphEdit create a graph for the playback of any filetype assuming the appropriate codecs are installed. This file should then be saved using the namg convention 'file_extension.grf'. For example, if you create a graph for Matroska files, you'd name it mkv.grf. These files should be placed in the Data folder inside the TT folder. Whenever TT opens a .mkv file, it will use the pre-defined graph instead of trying to build this automatically. Graphs containg VMR9 will use the TT 'Fullscreen' implementation if this enabled.

This version also contains many performance improvements and general bug fixes.

IVTC= Inverse Telecine, reconstrucción inversa de la velocidad original, reconstruye a 24 cuadros por segundo, y después le aplica el 3:2 "pulldown" para pasarlo a 60Hz (30 cuadros por segundo) con más precisión, si puedes poner la salida a 24 ó 48Hz no aplica el 3:2 pulldown, en el primer caso iría 1:1, igual que la película de cine original, en el segundo repetiría la imagen 2 veces pero con el mismo resultado, para 72Hz, lo mismo pero 3 veces, la fliuidez lograda es exactamente la misma que el original de cine.

TT=Theatrertek reproductor de DVDs, haz una búsqueda o mira en www.Theatrertek.com.

ZP= Zoom Player, reproductor de casi todo.

De Dscaler hay dos versiones, la "original" y la alternativa, optimizada para 1080i.

No, en PAL no hay IVTC, en el PAL se acelera un 4% de los 24FPS a 25FPS (50Hz).

I hear there are some problems with this, so I leave this off. If I want to play 720p content I will likely just use the default TheaterTek behavior, but this will require me to rename the file extensions of transport stream files I wish to use DScaler with.

* Inverse Telecine: Always Enabled <-- really important! This enables the magic.

* Adjust FPS if any Telecined Film: Keep 29.97/30 fps.

I'm not sure what the difference is between this and the 24 fps option - I will have to look at the AVS thread again!

* Deinterlace Mode: Automatic. <-- probably need this on too!

* Video Delay: 0ms

* Use Accurate Aspect Ratios: Off (Do I need this?)

* DVB Aspect Preference: 16:9

* Hardcode with PAL for ffdshow: Off.

Today we announce... Another release candidate!

We released this version to celebrate our 2nd anniversary , to help test some recent setup changes and to also provide a nice shiny setup release for some people who are looking for an alternative HTPC application.
Not much has changed from RC3 apart from some bugs being squashed, a few more cards being supported - oh, not to forget mofux' marvellous new MiniEPG and mPod's excellent MCE remote custom configuration option.

Please continue to post your bugs on IRC and the forum, checking Mantis (our bug tracking system) before doing so.

MUY ÚTIL GUÍA para repruducir archivos .ts 1080i con dscaler 5 v.008 "modificado" (el mod lo pilláis del link que puso javier) en Zoom Player.
Resultado perfección y suavidad de una vez por todas y sin necesidad de ordenador estratosférico. Y adiós al HDTVpump, basta con tener el Nero instalado...

2) Download the kzeuh binary from the AVS thread, unzip it, and extract the two .dlls into C:\Program Files\DScaler5, overwriting the previous versions.

3) In Zoom Player (Pro) / Options / Filter Control / Customised Media Management / Audio and Video Decoders, set the MPEG2 Transport decoder to DScaler5. (Zoom Player should report the filter as registered.) If you have previously been using HDTVPump with Zoom Player, you may need to uninstall it or disable it manually for Zoom Player to stop using it: to disable it manually, locate the file C:\Program Files\Zoom Player\MediaAutograph\MPEG Transport HDTVPump.sourcefilter (obviously you may need to adjust the Zoom Player path to match your own installation folder here) and either move it or rename it with a different file extension (.bak), or edit it in Notepad and remove the reference to TS extensions. See here

3A) To accompany this Dscaler5 mod, the developer's recommended source filter for .ts files is NeFSource.ax. I find the best audio decoder to pair with that is plain old PowerDVD 6. Other audio decoders should also be compatible with NeFSource but not the usual AC3 Filter v1.01a (you can try earlier AC3 Filter versions if you like).

3B) Zoom Player video output to 'Overlay Mixer' (note: only works with one display at a time: you will get a purple screen and/or stutters if you have two displays connected simultaneously, so disable one of them in Windows Display Properties/Advanced). Maybe other people have tested this with VMR9?

ADDITION from dumler: VMR9 works just fine and should be preferred instead of overlay IMHO.

3C) For the smoothest video, make sure Zoom Player audio output is going to Reclock audio filter, and set Reclock to 'Original speed'.

4) Play a .ts file, and in Zoom Player hit 'D' (for video filter properties). Use these settings for DScaler5:

3/2 playback smoothing: on
Experimental 720p playback: off
Inverse Telecine: Always Enabled
Adjust FPS: 23.97/24 fps (or try 29.97)
Deinterlace mode: Automatic
Video delay: 150ms (or try increasing it to around 200ms)
IDCT to use: Accelerated (important unless you have a super-fast PC)
Output color space: YV12 (performs better than YUV2)
(all other settings default)


Here's what I have noticed so far:
+ the usual extremely high still picture quality that I expect from DScaler5 - in still images it is sharper than any of the other MPEG2 decoders even nVidia (the second best)
+ excellent IVTC of all files including problem files. I've only seen one frame interlaced since installing this
+ mostly butter smooth 1080p playback and I mean really smooth motion, this is what I have been looking for but not seen previously in DScaler5 or any other setup with my Radeon 9550
+ accurate seeking.

No significant negative issues. The seeking issues have been cured by using NeFSource.ax as recommended by metahd. The mild audio sync issues I was experiencing have been cured by the video delay setting suggested above - although note that metahd does state that some files may still drift gradually out of sync if there are many telecine shifts in the file - if that happens then of course in Zoom Player the sync can be adjusted on the fly during playback using Shift/+ and Shift/- (for that functionality you may need to enable Zoom Player internal audio equaliser filter in Filter Control/Custom Media Management/Settings). The occasional stutters have been cured by using optimum settings as above, and reducing other CPU load.

El día 23 de junio salieron los nuevos drivers oficiales NVIDIA 91.31 aquí (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_91.31.html) que incluyen el nuevo y aparatoso control panel y la descarga pesa la friolera de 60 megas (para ser unos simples drivers). La buena noticia es que con mi recién estrenado proyector LG AN110 con estos drivers me gustan más la reproducción de color que con los "antiguos" y para los asustadizos la HDTV sigue funcionando bien con el zoomplayer y el dscaler trucado y también el Theatertek 2.3.2.

Aunque sigue el dscaler desde mi humilde opinión siendo el mejor con 1080i y con diferencia.

He conseguido reproducir alchivos DTS WAV con VLC Mediaplayer, activando la salida 5.1 en Aparato de audio, durante la reproduccion.
Pero cuando le doy al STOP y Nuevamente a PLAY o cuando se acaba la cancion, vuelve a salir en 2canales Stereo ,

¿NO HAY MANERA DE CONFIGURAR LA SALIDA 5.1 DE MANERA FIJA? :sudor :sudor :sudor

1ª Consume muy poca CPU,(bastante menos que Z.P.)
2ª Necesito esos recursos de CPU porque resampleo el audio a 96khz
3ª Ya me estaba familiarizando con Videolan VLC

He probado a reproducir con el codec Intervideo la imagen y con otros filtros de audio como ffdshow ó nero audio decoder y si se oye el audio en las pelis pero con Intervideo audio decoder no se oye nada.

Miro en propiedades de Intervideo audio decoder y las casillas donde pone 5 o 6 canales no se encienden, solo me deja la opcion de 2canales estereo.

Estoy hecho un lio.

a ver, parece que aquí te has hecho un lío. no era necesario que te bajaras Intervideo audio decoder si ya tenías WinDVD 7 instalado (WinDVD es el producto de la compañía Intervideo). Te aconsejo que desinstales WinDVD e Intervideo audio decoder y luego reinstales WinDVD nada más.

Una vez lo hayas hecho, prueba de nuevo. Si sigue sin funcionarte, cuelga aquí la captura que te pedía ayer.
