Según los datos de la edición UK, nuestra versión debería contar con mejor calidad de audio y más extras que los suministrados por Sony España a Mubis y otros medios, ¿no creéis?

La carátula de la edición española recoge el audio castellano de forma incorrecta. No es un dolby surround, sino un dolby 5.0.

Comprada hoy la nueva edición en blu-ray. Contiene los mismos extras que la edición en dvd de dos discos:

· Adaptar a Austen
· Sentido de un personaje
· Un hombre muy tranquilo
· Localizandso el mundo de Sentido y sensibilidad
· Elegancia y sencillez
· Escenas eliminadas (2 escenas)

En la carátula pone que contiene 6 cortometrajes, cuando sólo están los 5 citados (o al menos son los que yo he encontrado en los extras). Respecto a la edición en dvd en dos discos se pierden los dos audiocomentarios (que estaban subtitulados). Además tampoco está el extra que sólo venía en la primera edición en dvd (y que me copié previsoramente cuando regalé esa edición): El discurso de Emma Thompson recogiendo el Globo de oro a mejor guión, donde lee una carta de agradecimiento de Jane Austen. Algo muy divertido:



Respecto a la edición, estoy viendo un poco y a mí me parece que la imagen está muy bien, aunque sobre estos asuntos no esté muy versado. Saludos

Vista hace un par de días, y me ha parecido una transferencia bastante correcta, mejora claramente el dvd según recuerdo pues hace bastante tiempo que la vi en ese formato, aunque no creo que en ningún caso sea excelente como ha mencionado el forero jayadler. Imprescindible verla en VO. La película es una maravilla desde luego.

El 2x1 de Sony que en teoría va hacer Fnac en junio puede ser una buena oportunidad.

Imprescindible verla en VO. La película es una maravilla desde luego.

Yo también considero que la película es una maravilla y que hay que verla en V.O. Tras acabar de hacerlo debo indicar que los subtítulos no me han parecido buenos porque en muchos momentos abrevian lo dicho por los personajes. No creo yo que estemos en una comedia de enredo, donde todos hablan muy rápido, para que se justifique dicha simplificación. Saludos

Capturas del Blu Ray limitado a 3000 copias partiendo de un remaster a 4K lanzado a finales de 2015 (Sony Pictures, con licencia a Twilight Time para la distribución) . Incluye todos los audiocomentarios y extras de la edición especial en DVD, pero añade el score aislado completo de Patrick Doyle, nominado al oscar. Esta no es simplemente la pista aislada mientras se ve la pelicula, sino que se puede optar por reproducir unicamente la partitura completa de principio a fin sin imagen de ningún tipo. Viene bien también para disfrutar del material no incluido en el CD (que se quedaba en 43 minutos).

La pista de audio en V.O viene en DTS HD 5.1 ahora.





















The Video:

Sony has once again provided a gorgeous new master, like a lot of their recent Twilight Time releases. The AVC-encoded 1080p 1.85:1 image offers outstanding, crisp fine detail with minimal noticeable compression issues. Colors are typically bright and saturated. There are many sunny outdoor shots, which often ironically counterpoint the characters' personal miseries. Black levels are strong without crushing. This is a fantastic HD upgrade.

The Audio:


The soundtrack is offered both in a DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround mix and a DTS-HD MA 2.0 stereo mix. The surround mix naturally spreads the ambience out to the rear channels a bit, while the stereo mix sounds a touch more concentrated. The film isn't heavy on elaborate aural effects or music anyway, so the distinctions are minor. Both presentations are clear and attractive. Subtitles-wise, an English SDH track is offered.

Special Features:

Most of these bonuses have been ported over from the 2002 Special Edition DVD release of the film.

2 Audio Commentaries - The disc offers two informative and often quite jokey commentaries, the first with writer-star Emma Thompson and her pal, producer Lindsay Doran, and the second with director Ang Lee and his pal, co-producer James Schamus. Unsurprisingly, the Thompson/Doran track has more focus on aspects of the story and the adaptation process while the Lee/Schamus focuses a lot on imagery and the production process, although inevitably there's a little of everything covered in both and certainly some overlap anecdote-wise. However, both tracks are well worth a listen.

Isolated Music Track - Patrick Doyle's score presented at full volume in DTS-HD MA 2.0 stereo.

Adapting Austen (HD upconvert from SD, 11:18) - Lindsay Doran, Emma Thompson, Sydney Pollack and some others discuss the process of attaching Thompson to the project, which was Doran's brainchild, and then transforming Austen's prose into a workable screenplay.

Elegance and Simplicity: The Wardrobe of Sense and Sensibility (HD upconvert, 3:57) - The costume designers and some of the cast discuss the style of the film, especially the vast amounts of cleavage on display.

Locating the World of Sense and Sensibility (HD upconvert, 5:42) - A look at the practical locations and the production design of the film.

A Sense of Character (HD upconvert, 8:14) - Ang Lee, the producers, and the actors discuss their characters.

A Very Quiet Man (HD upconvert, 12:03) - Kind of a bookend to featurette about Emma Thompson coming on as a writer, this is an entertaining piece about how Ang Lee wound up being selected as director.

Deleted Scenes (2:44) - A few pretty good scenes, including what would have been the only onscreen smooch between Elinor and Edward.

Emma Thompson's Golden Globes Acceptance Speech (4:14) - In which Thompson, after winning for Best Screenplay, offers some prepared thoughts on how Jane Austen might have reacted to being at the Golden Globes.
