Alex (46126E): RECOMMENDED BURNING PROCEDURE
Please burn the iso file as an Image CD using Nero or any other burning
software
Make sure you burn it at the lowest speed, option "Disk as once" selected

Alex (46126E): UPDATE PROCEDURE
Turn on the player with the ON/OFF (I/0) switch placed on the back panel of
the unit
Insert the install CD (the CD that you have burned from the *.iso firmware
file) into the DVD/CD drive; DO NOT close the drive
Turn off the player with the ON/OFF (I/0) switch placed on the back panel of
the unit (keeping the drive open)
Press and hold the Default button placed on the back panel of the unit
Turn on the unit with the ON/OFF (I/0) switch placed on the back panel of
the unit (keeping the Default button pressed)
Press the Stop/Eject button placed on the front panel of the unit (keeping
the Default button pressed) - the drive will close, and the PLEASE WAIT will
appear on the display
Turn on the player with the stand-by button of the remote control (keeping
the Default button pressed)
Keep pressing the Default button for another 30 seconds
The player will start updating to the firmware from the install CD. It will
take about 5 minutes.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT turn off the player (and do not put it in the stand-by
mode) while it is updating - this will HARM the device!
When the update has finished the player will eject the drive automatically.
Remove the install CD
Turn on/turn off the player with the ON/OFF (I/0) switch placed on the back
panel of the device
Turn on the player with the stand-by button of the remote control
The Quick Setup will launch automatically
Completing the Quick Setup is the last step of the upgrade.
IMPORTANT: If the player ejects the drive before finishing the update you
need to follow once again the whole update procedure.
