Star Wars in HD – But Wait There's More!

Back in August ‘TV Week’ reported that all six ‘Star Wars’ films would be broadcast on Cinemax HD this November. We now know a little more about how the films will be rolled out and some other details not revealed back in August.

All six ‘Star War’s films will air back-to-back starting at midnight November 10th, with additional airings through the month. Even more important [At least to film purists] a spokesmen for the channel has confirmed they’ll all be broadcast in their original aspect ratio! According to a 'TV Week' follow-up article; posted today, Comcast also plans on offering the films on HD video-on-demand.

In the immortal words of infomercial pitchmen everywhere; but wait there’s more! DISH Network and DirecTV subscribers need not worry about missing the beloved science fiction geek-fest, due to the fact neither service currently carries Cinemax HD. All six films are coming to HBO-HD “early next year”. Good news all around for ‘Star War’s fans anxious to see the films in high definition.

¿Tendremos en breve una edición para fans en HD?

Lo dudo, Lucas esperó varios años a que el DVD estuviese lo suficientemente extendido para sacar Star Wars e Indiana Jones, y hará lo mismo con el HD.

Hombre, edición oficial yo también pienso que va para largom pero edición "oficiosa"...

Es un marrón bajarse tropecientas gigas para ver una película en HD, pero hay casos que bien lo merecen, y éste es uno (otro) de ellos.

A oficiosa me refiero, claro....

No dijeron que en el 2007 iba a reestrenar las antiguas en 3D? quizas aproveche ese estreno pa sacarlas en Blu-Ray....

Pero de las originales..(montaje..nada).. todo oficioso como decis..
