Aunque sean el otro extremo, aquí están las nominaciones de los Razzie, lo peor de la industria de cada año.

PEOR PELÍCULA
365 Days – A Polish remake of Fifty Shades of Gray, this film not only got a rare 0% Rating at RT but was also found so sexually offensive that 95,000 signed a petition to remove it from Netflix…


Absolute Proof – This “documentary,” financed by and starring “The My Pillow Guy” Mike Lindell, purports to “prove” the canard that “voting irregularities” resulted in the 2020 Presidential election being “stolen.”


Dolittle – The last Big-Budget Box Office Bomb theatrically released before The Lockdown, Dolittle is a totally faithless umpteenth remake of the classic book about a man with a gift for talking to the animals.


Fantasy Island – This oddball remake takes the old TV series (“De plane! De plane!”) and crossbreeds it with Twilight Zone for a dark and decidedly murky “re-imagining” which almost nobody liked.


Music – A mis-guided “musical comedy” about an autistic teen-ager who “learns about life” under the guidance of her new guardian, this has a 90% Negative Rating on R.T. and is loathed by autistics everywhere.

Me han gustado las nominaciones de los Bafta. Son unas nominaciones refrescantes, pues se han alejado de premiar la tónica general de lo que llevamos de carrera. Esto hace que los Bafta vuelvan a tener personalidad propia y no ser unos premios más al uso y además hace que otros nombres obtengan su reconocimiento. Por contra, la carrera se encuentra en su momento álgido más emocionante, donde todo puede pasar.

Este año muy pocos han hecho la carrera perfecta. Con todo eso, veremos este lunes quien, pese a tener la carrera perfecta, se queda sin nominación al Oscar y se une a la lista de olvidados.

Un pronóstico que me atrevo a lanzar es que Maria Bakalova se quedará sin nominación al Oscar pese a ser la única secundaria que ha hecha la carrera perfecta con menciones en el BIG-4.

PREMIO OGLETHORPE A LA EXCELENCIA EN EL CINE DE GEORGIA: John Lewis: Good Trouble (Dawn Porter)

El premio más bonito de cada temporada, el USC Scripter Award, que otorga la Universidad del Sur de California tanto al autor del libreto de origen (novela, etc...) como a quien adapta este a la pequeña pantalla), se conoció esta madrugada.

La ganadora ha sido Nomadland, y en concreto, su guionista, Chloe Zhao (a la par, directora de la película) y Jessica Bruder, periodista y autora del libro Nomadland: Surviving America in the 21st century, que aquella ha adaptado a la gran pantalla.

Mañana es el anuncio de las nominaciones a los Oscar. Voy a escribir mi lista de deseos, ya que será divertido comprobar mañana cuánto he acertado...o fallado.

En positivo:

- Nominaciones legendarias para Sophia Loren y Ellen Burstyn, en actriz y actriz de reparto respectivamente.
- News of the World nominada a 7 Oscar: en película, actriz de reparto, guion adaptado, fotografía, diseño de producción, sonido y BSO
- El padre nominada a 6 Oscar: película, director, guion, actor, actriz de reparto y montaje.
- Delroy Lindo nominado a mejor actor por Da 5 bloods.
- Sound of Metal nominada a 5 Oscar: actor, actor de reparto, actriz de reparto Olivia Cooke, sonido y montaje.
- Minari nominada a 6 Oscar: película, director, actor, actriz de reparto, guion y montaje.
- Fragmentos de una mujer nominada a 2 Oscar: actriz y actriz de reparto.
- La vida por delante nominada a 2 Oscar: actriz y canción.
- Mi quinteto de la categoría más difícil de pronosticar, actriz de reparto, lo conforman: Olivia Colman, Youn Yuh-Jung, Ellen Burstyn, Olivia Cooke y Helena Zengel.

En negativo:
- Mank solo rasca nominaciones técnicas: fuera de película, director, actor y actriz de reparto.
- Glenn Close no es nominada por Hillbilly (se merece ser nominada por algo mejor).
- Chadwick Boseman no obtiene la doble mención con Da 5 bloods.
- Viola Davis se cae de mejor actriz para que entre Sophia Loren.
- Borat y Maria Bakalova se van de vacío.
- Ma Raine’s Black bottom, solo nominada en actor, maquillaje, vestuario y diseño de producción.

Yo espero que Bakalova se vaya sin nominacion, sinceramente ese hueco seria un desperdicio si le toca a ella frente a otras candidatas.

Es que hay muchas buenas interpretaciones en actriz de reparto que se van a quedar fuera y me parece que tienen un nivel muy superior a lo que ofrece Bakalova, me resulta incomprensible, todo un expediente x.

Aparte de las 5 que yo nominaría podría quitar a cualquiera de ellas y meter a Jodie Foster, Glenn Close, Amanda Seyfried, Candice Bergen, Saoirse Ronan, que cualquiera de ellas seguiría siendo una buena opción.

Esperemos que los académicos del conjunto de gremios voten con criterio.

Las nominaciones han seguido el curso de lo esperado, ¡qué decepcion! Borat nominada a secundaria y guión

Las únicas sorpresas es el cambio en actor secundario a favor de Lakeith Stanfield, y en dirección Aaron Sorkin se queda sin plaza a favor de Thomas Vinterberg, director de Another Round. Chadwick Boseman no hace doblete.

Me alegro por el triunfo de El padre y Minari en categorías principales y me apena bastante el pinchazo de News of the World, me parece una gran película. También me apena que no se hayan acordado de dos legendarias figuras como Sophia Loren y Ellen Burstyn, creía que almenos 1 lo conseguiría.

Jodie Foster que obtuvo el globo de oro, no ha sido nominada tampoco.
