Tema: POPCORN HOUR A-110 - Análisis

La conexión es a 54Mbps. Me pillé un adaptador USB wi-fi n, aunque no lo aprovecho (aún) porque el router no lo es (forma parte también de la lista de upgrades pendientes...). Eso sí, en mi caso, palomo y router están relativamente cercanos, separados por un pasillo, a unos 9 o 10 metros como máximo. De todas formas, yo es que soy paciente para estas cosas, y no me suelen correr prisas. Ayer por ejemplo me pasé al palomo un mkv de Monstruos contra Alienígenas de 8GB, no sé cuánto tardaría, lo puse, salí a dar una vuelta, volví en algo menos de dos horas y ya estaba pasada. Haciendo cuentas la teoría dice que en unos 20 minutos (a pleno rendimiento y tal) debería pasarse. En la práctica, no creo que se hubiera terminado de pasar mucho antes de que yo llegara.

Como digo, cuestión de paciencia ;)

Ayer conecté un punto de acceso al palomitas y la distancia me hace polvo. Se me paraban los vídeos de youtube a mitad de reproducción. Pierde la conexión con el router.
He estado mirando lo de los PLC Homeplug AV pero es caro y no se que tal resultarán. Hablan de hasta 200Mbs teóricos.

Pues no debería verse ruido en la imagen. Prueba cable u opciones de la TV.

uso cable hdmi y la tele no me da ninguna opcion. lo raro es que en 1080 se ve mucho mejor en cuanto al color pero le sale la dichosa nieve. tambien es cierto que es en determinadas peliculas(piratas caribe 3, x-men 4, oceanos de fuego, ...) no en todas. sobre todo le pasa en las de alta definicion a los dvd no. sin embargo cuando cambio a 720p se arregla todo, pero con colores pasteles.

Muy buenas, tengo ya el pop a110 bastante tiempo, y no he tenido grandes problemas, pero me gustaria saber si puedo ver pelis en formato iso ó ifo (no lo he intentado porque no he conseguido ninguna), y tambien si es posible reproducir un full BD desde un disco duro.

En formato iso si puedes. Respecto al BR tienes que abrir directamente el archivo donde está la película que suele estar en la carpeta Strem y el archivo tiene formato mt2s, no acepta ni menús ni subtitulos, pero se ve perfectamente.

Muchas gracias, JCyJyMC, lo del formato iso lo desconocia, pero lo de los archivos en formato mt2s es como lo estaba haciendo. Lo decia porque a patir de ahora las backups seran solo del archivo/archivos que solo contienen la peli, el resto eliminado y ahorramos espacio de disco, que esta caro.

Hola a todos:
Perdón por el tocho pero ahí va... Me han regalado un Kaiboer 200 con el software del palomitas. Todo bien mientra reproduzco con USB pero el tema ha llegado al ponerle el disco interno. Seagate de 1,5 TB. El problema ya empieza cuando intento formatearlo a ext3... no hay manera al 20 o 21% se me para siempre...
He downgradeado mi software pues con uno antiguo se puede formatear a ext2 para después hacerlo a ext3 y.... ;( más de lo mismo.
Alguna idea.... soy 0 en linux

Actualiza a la última versión del firmware, en el Popcorn una de los últimos arreglaba un error en el formateo de disco de gran capacidad.

Si así no te funciona, formatéalo desde un pc y luego vuelve a intentarlo, además así puedes descartar errores en el disco.

Una consulta, pues eso. Que los reyes me regalaron uno. Aunque el que yo tengo pone POPCORN A-110-M, pero supongo que es lo mismo.

Intente conectarlo al ordenador por puerto USB y la cosa es que este no me reconoce ni el disco duro de un TB que tiene ni el POPCORN en si. ¿A que es debido? ¿Que tengo que hacer para que me lo reconozca?

Ruego tengais paciencia conmigo, porque soy de lo mas negado en nuevas tecnologias.

tengo un A-110 hace unos 7 meses, hace tiempo que el aparato en las pelis me da parones de imagen y realmente no se ha que hes devido si al calentamiento del equipo, a la configuracion no lo se. tengo un lcd samsung 40A756 y veo las pelis a traves de red. dicen que el equipo es bueno por lo que leo en la red pero a mi me tiene un poco desquiciao, pelis q un dia las veo bien, luego las pongo otra vez y parones de imagen, no se lo que pasa ha ver si me podriais echar una mano amiga.

Si tenemos instalado un disco duro interno y queremos conectar el Popcorn a nuestro Pc, para copiar archivos mediante la conexión USB Host, si nuestro sistema operativo es Windows este no está preparado para leer el formato de archivos del A110 ya que este está en Ext2 o Ext3 (sistema de archivo nativo de Linux), necesitamos una utilidad para que windows pueda manejar EXT2/3 y así podamos copiar películas, fotos o música, para ello hay que instalar en windows alguna de las siguiente utilidades:

Para sistemas de ficheros ext2 y ext3 (como Explorer2fs), pero este permite tenerlo montado en Windows como un disco mas de Windows. Este permite cortar, mover y editar los ficheros del otro disco (Yo no tocaría demasiado esto por lo que pueda pasar).

Intenta aislar el problema.
1.- Prueba si por USB te da tirones.
2.- Resetea el Router y averigua si es la red la encargada de los problemas.
3.- Reseta y actualiza último firmware.
4.- Ventilador, para mi es imprescindible.

Hola a todos, tengo un PH A-110 desde hace un mes aprox. y creo que tengo un problema.
Al pasar una o varias películas desde un disco duro externo de 2,5 por USB al popcorn, este al poco tiempo se apaga y se queda bloqueado dejando los archivos a medias, y la única solución es apagarlo del interruptor trasero y volverlo a encender.
No se que hacer, si mandar un correo al sitio que lo compre o hacer uso de la garantía, lo que pasa es que no se si esto es normal.
Agradecería vuestra ayuda.

Parece que se van ha poder ver los BD en formato ISO, o eso yo he interpretado. Me imagino que en breve tambien lo sacaran para el A-110. Al descatalogarlo me pensaba que esta gente iva a dejar en en cajón posibles actualizaciones, tanto del A-100 como del A-110, pero parece que por ahora se estan comportando. ¡¡ Lo celebro !! , espero que les dure.

Con la salida al mercado del A-200, éste modelo ya está desfasado. Me refiero, claro está, a los que estén pensando en comprar un aparato nuevo, no a los que ya disponen de él.

A la hora de comprarse un aparato de estos, no solamente hay que valorar el hardware de este, también hay que pensar en el servicio postventa, en este caso en forma de firmwares. Popcorn es de los mejores en este apartado, hay otras marcas que no lo son tanto, por ejemplo he leído por la red que Kaiboer dejaba de dar servicio a través de firmwares a alguno de sus modelos.
A veces lo barato, sale caro...
