Big Screen Movies At Home With Hitachi
Launches new LCD projector for home cinema
Following on from the award-winning PJ-TX10E home cinema projector, Hitachi Digital Media Group has now launched its second generation high performance home cinema projector, the PJ-TX100. Offering a higher resolution and higher brightness, the PJ-TX100 LCD projector has been designed specifically for big screen home entertainment. It offers customers a perfect combination of high performance, ease of use and affordability. Quiet operation, flexible installation and set-up, excellent picture performance and rich connectivity are all key features of the new PJ-XT100 home cinema projector.
“Creating the true movie experience, the new PJ-TX100 caters for the growing number of people that wish to view their entertainment on a big screen at home. Easy setup and ease of use in any room are the main features of this projector - horizontal and vertical lens shift and a wide range zoom lens mean a perfectly shaped picture can be easily produced, wherever the projector is sited,” comments Nick Rogers, Manager, Presentation Products for Hitachi Digital Media Group. “Features such as a luminous remote control for low-light use, three preset picture modes (Normal, Cinema and Dynamic) as well as four “My memory” settings that store customised viewing settings (for colour, Gamma, colour temperature, aspect, etc.) position the PJ-TX100 as a top-end home cinema product. And it can be connected to practically any home entertainment device, including DVD players, Digital cameras, PCs, games consoles, audio systems, digital TV boxes and video players.”
A unique lens shift system enables the projector to be set up above, below, or to the side of the viewer, delivering a totally undistorted image. The front-end fan exhaust allows it to be set up on a bookshelf or discretely within an open wall cabinet and the X2 optical zoom gives great flexibility in positioning the projector anywhere in the room – without compromising picture quality.
The PJ-TX100 uses a 0.7”, 16:9 LCD panel to deliver 720 lines at an output level of 1200 ANSI Lumens and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. It also incorporates the new “ED Quattro” lens system that uses 4 Extra-Low Dispersion lenses in combination with aspherical lenses to reproduce 720p high definition images with greater accuracy and with improved colour reproduction. For clear, crisp images and smooth flicker-free video, the PJ-TX100 utilizes Hitachi’s integrated Motion Adaptive Progressive Scan technology. With a noise output level of just 25 dB (Whisper Mode), it is also one of the quietest home cinema projectors to launch this year.
Availability
The PJ-TX100 will be available through most major department stores as well as from Hitachi’s network of specialist independent home entertainment and AV dealers. It will be available across Europe in April, 2004.
