Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Ringu Anthology of Terror for 23rd August 2005. This unique and exclusive multi-DVD set includes the four internationally acclaimed Japanese films that reinvented horror and inspired two American remakes: The Ring and The Ring Two.
Ringu follows a reporter who investigates the curse surrounding a mysterious videotape after the inexplicable death of her young niece.
Rasen, the sequel to Ringu, finds a doctor linking the horrifying death of his former medical school classmate with four teens who died after watching a cursed videotape.
Ringu 2 reveals more bone-chilling truths about the haunted girl on the deadly videotape. Now, the girl attempts to possess a young boy and begin a new cycle of terror that's more frightening than ever.
Ringu 0, taking place 30 years before the events of Ringu, provides the shocking background story of how the girl on the video became a deadly, vengeful spirit.
All films are presented in Anamorphic Widescreen with Japanese DD5.1 Surround audio plus optional English, French and Spanish subtitles. Bonus features are TBC.
Ringu 2 will also be available separately priced at $29.99 SRP. Ringu is already available separately (review here). Rasen and Ringo 0 are exclusive to the box set which carries no set retail price.
Si la calidad de las copias es similar a la de "Ringu", será un motivo más de alegría para los seguidores de esta mini-saga.
Un saludo.
