Precio: la tarrina de 25 49,00$, y la tarrina de 50 95,00 $ más gastos de envio.

Que suene mejor que un original lo probaré este fin de semana, con los ojos vendados, no sabré cual me introducen en el CD, lo que si te aseguro que suenan mejor la grabaciones que en por ejemplo un Verbatim, el sonido es más claro, y detallado.

Proprietary Photosensitive Dye
Unlike commonly used CD-Rs containing Cyanine (blue/green dye) or Metal Azo (deep blue dye), which lose their characteristics quickly from exposure to light and heat, the 24KT Gold ULTRADISC CD-R utilizes a patented photosensitive dye which ensures accurate burning and stability, plus exceptional longevity and durability. Extremely Accurate and Precise Burning
Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab has chosen to offer only slower speed (1-12X) CD-Rs. Although the current trend is “faster is better,” MFSL engineers strongly disagree and urge audio professionals, archivists, audiophiles, and discriminating collectors alike to burn their data in real time, better known as 1X. Through a careful battery of tests conducted at Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, we have observed that real-time burning has always yielded superior results. Higher burning rates cause errors and do not allow for proper pit formation. Furthermore, higher speeds cause vibration in the drive when burning the disc, thereby increasing jitter. In order to attain even higher burning accuracy and overall quality, a specially formulated dye was created for these slow-burn, precision ULTRADISC CD-Rs.

Accurate and Precise Information Retrieval
The ULTRADISC CD-R’s specialized dye reacts more quickly to the writing laser than do other dyes. It reacts in a "burst" mode instead of the sluggish "melt" mode. Due to this instantaneous reaction, precise pit edges are formed. This is crucial for the laser pickup to accurately interpret the information, and thereby reducing or eliminating the use of interpolation/error correction circuitry. Additionally, a specially formulated, black ink is used to coat one side of the disc in order to reduce stray reflections which could alter readings.

Ultra Quality Control - 4 Levels of QC
Utilizing the highest quality control standards in the industry, all the manufacturing and packaging of the ULTRADISC CD-R is done in state-of-the-art cleanroom conditions. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab has rejected random sampling techniques, which are simply not stringent enough for critical data storage applications. Instead, MFSL utilizes an unprecedented 4-level quality control process. First, a sample out of every 3,000 discs is tested, critically examined and evaluated for over 2 hours until given the approval for MFSL specifications. Second, every single ULTRADISC CD-R is tested as it comes off the replication line. High tech, extremely sophisticated computer analysis is used to test jitter, thickness tolerances, gold uniformity and disc eccentricity. Third, an inspector (wearing medical gloves) picks up and visually examines the ULTRADISC CD-Rs for pinholes, gold consistency, oyster shelling, or any other anomalies. Fourth, another inspector repeats this very time-consuming, manual/visual examination just before the specialized, stray-reflection-reducing black coating is applied. ULTRADISC CD-Rs have to pass all levels of QC before they can be shipped. If a disc does not pass Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab’s elevated specifications, it will not be accepted as an ULTRADISC CD-R. Me cuesta creer que en el mismo equipo un cd y una copia suenen diferentes, porque si la copia es digital, tiene los mismos ceros y los mismos unos, y si el equipo no cambia, hasta sale por las mismas cajas con el mismo ajuste.. no se no se todo esto me suena a que si los chaparan con uranio desnaturalizado sonarian incluso mejor que el propio master digital y evidentemente habrian de cobrarlos mas caros porque yo lo valgo..

Edito: mira, lo de la garantia de por vida si que es un argumento de peso para que valgan mas, ahi no discuto ni un ápice. Siempre que se cumpla, claro.

Yo pago los soportes.
Me llevo un par de Verbatim o mejor aún "nisu" de la gasolinera de la esquina y la misma música grabada en esos cojo-discos chapados en oro y los usamos para todas las pruebas ciegas en Molingordo. Le ponemos a los equipos caros el CD de oro (ya llevan el cojo cable) y al discman de turno del cable sulfateitor le endiñamos el CutreCD. Son cuatro días de pruebas y un par de decenas de voluntarios.
A la vuelta publicamos los resultados.

Por cierto: supongo que ya con este soporte la mejora absoluta será congelarlo, pintarle el borde de verde y pasarle al equipo antes el superdisco ese de Densen que limpia "los cables".

Siempre me ha intrigado una cosa del disco ese limpiacables y limpiachips.. la mierda que se lleva.. donde la deja?

Yo he tenido alguna "sorpresa",pero siempre desagradable con alguna copia.Pocas,pero realmente se notaba a la legua,que la copia era inferior al original.y LO REPITO.....SÓLO ALGUNA.
Me acuerdo fundamentalmente del disco de Louis Amstrong y ella fitzerald....Realmente sorprendente. Estábamos 3-4 personas en la sala y nos miramos...esto no suena igual.

Igual fue un problema de ordenador,pero no se escuchaba ningún click..Era sobre todo falta de espacialidad,profundidad y escena sonora.

Ahora bien,no creo que ningún disco mejore un copia,pues no le veo el sentido técnico al asunto.
Lo que si creo es que se conservará mejor el disco y siempre que se pueda,hay que comprar la mejor calidad posible.
Y lo que creo que las mejores copias,por mucho que se diga,son las que se hacen con grabadora doméstica y a 1x.....

Repito que no sé si suena mejor o peor que el original, lo probaré este fin de semana en prueba ciega e informaré de los resultados; pero resulta curioso que eso lo diga la revista que ha realizado el test con otras marcas de Cd'r, y no el propio fabricante, el cual simplemente dice que el oro es el mejor soporte para almacenar información, tanto para la fase de lectura del laser como para la de quemado del laser, y ya lo llevó a cabo con los discos originales de la serie ULTRADISC y ULTRADISC II, muy valorados por los audiofilos de todo el mundo.

De donde no hay, no se puede sacar, así que es imposible que suenen mejor que el original.

Eso sí, te puedes hacer un collar con ellos y colgartelos del cuello y orejas. Menudas joyas.
