Ambientada en el mundo futuro donde América ha perdido la guerra contra las drogas, el policía secreta Fred es uno de los muchos agentes que están tras la droga denominada "Substance D", que causa a quienes la toman personalidades divididas. Fred, por ejemplo, es un notorio tratante de drogas. Junto a sus superiores Fred elabora un plan para coger a Bob y echar abajo su operación.

Philip K. Dick + Richard Linklater= puta obra maestra.
Vamos yo es que no me corto un huevo,me corto los dos si esta peliculas no es una maravilla.
Ahora solo nos falta una adaptación como dios manda de Ubik (y no, "Abre los ojos" no me vale<img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/devilish.gif ALT=":]:D"> )

Eso eso, que nos falta una buena adaptación de Ubik, con Runciter y su empresa de inerciales, joer...si se llama igual que yo...<img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/laugh3.gif ALT=":DDD">
Bromas aparte, que ganas de ver esta nueva peli, a ver como se desenvuelve Linklater en el género sci-fi despues de demostrar su talento en la comedia dramática. Pinta muy bien pero habra que esperar a verla.

A Scanner Darkly no es sci-fi sci-fi, o por lo menos no es sci-fi convencional...
En cualquier caso este proyecto me la pone dura.

Radiohead to Score Linklater's A Scanner Darkly!?!
No está confirmado, sólo es un rumor, pero EMHO sería la puta bomba.

The movie is doing very well in test screenings, but the #1 complaint audiences have is with the score. So I can only tell you this anonymously, but the producers have approached RADIOHEAD about doing a new score for the film and it looks like everything is going to go through. So in addition to an awesome animated Phillip K. Dick film, we will have a brand new Radiohead score to look forward to. as far as I know, this is the first time Radiohead has ever done a score for the film. While this is still a "rumor" at this time, I would give it a 99% accuracy rating at this point.
Also, I've seen the new trailer for the film and it is absolutely outstanding. It should be hitting the web any time now."
For those unaware this film is Linklater's adaptation of the Philip K. Dick novel of the same name using the same animation technique's he previously used with Waking Life. And if ever there's been a band that more closely shared Dick's themes of paranoia, isolation and a joint fascination with / fear of technology than Radiohead I certainly don't know who it is. This will be an absolutely perfect match if it comes together.

El rumor sobre Radiohead parece ser mas "whisful thinking" que otra cosa, porque al parecer estan enfrascados en la grabación de un nuevo disco.
Por cierto, el libro en que se basa la peli se llama en español "Una mirada a la oscuridad" y esta disponible en cualquier tienda del ramo.
Es una novela fantástica, bastante poco ci-fi, que trata el tema de las drogas de un modo escalofriante.
Muy, muy recomendable.

Bueno, lo de poco sci-fi es relativo con toda la ultima etapa de Philip K. Dick solo decir, que TODO lo que está editado de este autor, no solo es recomendable sino altamente NECESARIO.

Pues al final no era un rumor y Radiohead se encargará del score de "Scanner Darkly". En la misma noticia, también adelantan que Beck compondrá el score para "Nacho Libre" de Jared Hess. :palmas

Entertainment Weekly confirms today that Radiohead is indeed doing the score for A SCANNER DARKLY. Warner Independent confirmed to EW that Radiohead would provide original music and the score to the film, which is set for release on July 7. While it isn't the first time that Radiohead has contributed music to a film (Baz Luhrmann's abhorrent ROMEO AND JULIET featured "Exit Music (For A Film)") it would be the first time they composed an original score for a film. No telling yet if Radiohead will use any of the music they had already been working on for their forthcoming album. Coincidentally Radiohead is set to tour this summer with Beck, who just so happens to be doing his first original score for a film on NACHO LIBRE.
