SoundtrackNet is reporting that Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard may be combining their mega talent and composing the score for the highly anticipated BATMAN BEGINS. Now, as far as composing scores for movies goes, it doesn't get much bigger than Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. If they're looking to combine their collective talents to score BATMAN then the score should kick some major ass. Man, just when you think this movie could not get any better, something else comes up. What's it gonna be next? Spielberg and Scorsese both came in and shot a few sequences for the movie? Nolan added a few more great actors to his cast? Katie Holmes does a strip tease? Batman goes into the Playboy mansion and has an orgy with all the bunnies? ¿De qué traje hablas? ¿Lo han cambiado? ¿No era aquel tan molón que aparecían en las fotos?

Pues me refiero a que al principio todo apuntaba a que iban a usar un traje más clásico como en el Batman de Collora, pero al final nos han salido con otro traje de goma. Si, es más chulo y mejor que los anteriores, pero sigue siendo de goma.

Por cierto, lo de Zimmer si que puede ser la CAGADA definitiva de esta película. ¿Pero por qué habrán echado al compositor habitual de Nolan? Esto cada vez me huele más al efecto The Hiulk / Ang Lee / Mychael Danna. Espero que no le estén cortando demasiado las alas a Nolan en la Warner.

Porque Julyan para esta película... como que no lo veo. A pesar de que en algunos trozos le iría bien, creo que una peli de Batman pide algo más que una atmósfera.

Lo de Zimmer y Newton Howard... pues es algo francamente interesante (y ya está confirmado). Ya se unieron para trabajar en La Ventana Secreta, pero por problemas de agenda al final no pudieron. La duda que yo tengo de esta colaboración es: ¿tirarán por el lado sinfónico de Howard o por el mediaventures de Zimmer? ¿Una mezcla de ambas?
Lo que es seguro es que el nuevo Batman tendrá una nueva melodía bastante reconocible.

Doing "First Daughter" promotion rounds, Katie Holmes finally spoke about her role in the upcoming "Batman Begins" to About.Com and discussed who she plays, what she gets to do and whether she'll appear in further Bat adventures.

"I play Rachel Dawes and I work in the DA’s office and I’m Bruce Wayne’s good friend growing up...It’s more of a talky role. I’m not into stunts. Not one of those girls. I like it real easy" said Holmes who when asked if she was signed for further movies in the series, replied "It’s sort of more complicated than that question. They can have me if they want me for two more".

Does she get to ride in the Batmobile? "Yes. It is so cool. I saw the mobile take off and get on the street, and I was like, “Okay, I get it. I get why guys love cars. I am in love right now and all I want is that car"".

According to the best darn fansite site around (You can quote me on that Jett - Clint), Batman-On-Film.com, our friend The Joker mightn't be appearing as the main villain in the "Batman Begins" sequel at all.

According to the rumour mill, The Joker was going to be going up against Christian Bale's Caped Crusader in the second new "Batman" film, but according to an insider for the site - don't be so sure.

"They may want to build up to his appearance over the first two films - have him in the finale," says the source.

So who will be the baddie? "The villian could be one that we saw in the previous Burton/Schumacher series", says the site. Hmm....The Penguin? Catwoman? (doubtful), The Riddler? Two-Face? Mr Freeze? Poison Ivy? It isn't stated.

The sequel isn't going to start where the next film ends, some time will have passed. Regardless, "Christian Bale, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman are set to return. Morgan Freeman will probably be back as Lucius Fox".

Christopher Nolan is almost certain to return to the directors chair for the next one, says the site, with writer David Goyer expected to be involved again too.<hr></blockquote>

Batman On Film's oldest and best "industry insiders" have provided some new juicy rumours about a "Batman Begins" sequel which is already being thought about over in Warners:

- Nolan is going to direct. He isn't signed--at least not "officially," but it's no secret that the movie franchise is now "Nolan's Baby" as our source called it.

- The villian that seems to be obvious for the sequel, might not appear in the next film. "They may want to build up to his appearance over the first two films - have him in the finale," says our source.

- As everyone already knows, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman are set to return. Morgan Freeman will probably be back as Lucius Fox.

- David Goyer will most likely be involved with the sequel. His status is much like that of Nolan's. BOF's source speculates that his role will be much like that for BEGINS - writing the first draft and then Nolan taking over.

- The sequel will probably not pick up right after the events of BEGINS. A bit of time may have passed between the events of BEGINS and the sequel. The Batman may be a bit more established in the follow-up.

- The villian could be one that we saw in the previous Burton/Schumacher series.

That's it for now. Nothing Earth-shattering or anything, but something to think about and discuss.

Está claro que va a ser el Joker, no hay más vuelta de hoja. Catwoman no va a aparecer despues del fiasco de Halle Berry, el pingüino tiene poco carisma y los villanos de Schumacher están demasiado recientes para revisitarlos, aunque bien pensado tambien podría ser Dos Caras y de paso darle un papel digno a su trayectoria en los comics.
Pero lo que realmente deberían haber hecho es dedicarle Batman Begins entera a Rha´s Al Ghul y luego hacer una secuela ENTERA con El Espantapájaros como malvado único. A mí es que lo de los dos villanos por peli me parece una estupidez

A mi el joker me parece el contrapunto perfecto del hombre murciélago, uno serio y oscuro y el otro colorista y como una puta cabra. Lo de dos caras también me atrae, pero en una historia tipo "El largo Halloween", donde se vea toda la transformación del personaje. Ya que tiene carisma para dar y regalar, y es el unico villano que ha trabajado mano a mano con batman hasta el punto de hacerse amigos.

Ojala sea Dos Caras,para mi es el mejor villano de toda la galeria de Batman,por encima del Joker. El malo ''obvio'' es el joker,joker no saldrá en la continuación quieren preparar su entrada al final de la 2ª,al menos saco esta conclusión de lo que pone en el texto que puso woody antes.
