Pues la semana pasada me llegó el de Queen "Live in Montreal". La verdad es que aún no he tenido tiempo de verlo. Ya os contaré.

Este también lo estoy esperando yo, Franciscus, la verdad es que le tengo muchas ganas a uno de Queen en HD... Por cierto, qué verguenza, poco despues de pedir el de los Black Crowes y este de Queen, encuentro el primero en el FNAC... Pero no me importó esperar, pues son un poco chorizos: 19$ puesto en casa vs. 29 eurazos en el Fnac.

Refloto este post porque ahora que he liquidado mis conciertos en HD DVD me encuentro que el paso a BD va a ser poco menos que traumático. Qué pocas ediciones :inaudito
Para empezar, de los 4 que tenía sólo están en BD "Queen en Montreal" y "Toto in Amsterdam" y por supuesto, no en España.
Ni el de EWF & Chicago ni el de Eagles se han editado aún en BD.
En cualquier caso, acabo de pedir el de Queen y el de Toto a Amazon UK porque en Amazon USA me encuentro con la limitación de zona en los dos :cabreo:cabreo:cabreo

En Amazon UK algunas ediciones pone "USA imported" Significa eso que son zona1? (son más baratas)

En Blu-ray sólo tengo dos conciertos, el "Oral Fixation Tour" de Shakira y el "Live at Donington" de los AC/DC, ambos con dos formidables pistas en PCM 5.1 (48Khz/24bit).

Bueno he pedido a Amazón el "Oral Fixation Tour" de Shakira, el de Celine Dion A new day y Legend of jazz y espero no tener ningun problema con la reproducción, ya sabeis, por todo el tema de las zonas y demás, aunque viendo vuestros comentarios supongo que vendrán del mismo sitio porque en España o por lo menos en el ECI no los tienen.
Por cierto y con respectoa alguno de esto BD, ¿alguien sabría decirme si el sonido viene en Dolby True DH o DTS HD o algo mejor que el Dolby Digital o DTS?
El de Shakira tiene PCM 5.1 y si tienes un buen equipo vas a flipar en colores, porque es brutal cómo se escucha este Blu-ray... Te puedo asegurar que vas a sentirte como si fueras uno más de los que están en el concierto. Alucinante.Cita:

Led Zeppelin The Song Remains The Same. Imagen aceptable para ser HD (originalmente rodado en film en Technicolor), el sonido es espectacular en DTHD en 5.1.
Los conciertos de la Shakira esa y la Dion, ¿os gusta la tía o la música?
El "Oral Fixation Tour" de Shakira lo compré por los excelentes comentarios de Javier Guerra sobre la pista multicanal PCM 5.1 que incluye. Pero ahora que lo tengo también disfruto de la Shakira que está de bastante buen ver. :juasCita:

De lo mejor que se puede necontrar tanto en video como en audio, el BD de Pat Metheny. Asombrosa nitidez.
El de TOTO y el de Tony Bennet lo mismo
Y el de los ZZ Top también un 10 en vídeo y algo menos en Audio.
El de Chris Botti sensacional en sonido y flojito de vídeo.
Y el que llevo un cabreo impresionante es con el de David Matthews & Tim Reynolds en el Radio City Music Hall que no lo han sacado mas que para region A y ya en DVD es sensacional tanto en video como en audio.
Lo cierto es que las compañías no se están trabajando mucho lo de sacar BD's musicales y es una pena porque en mi opinión una peli la ves normalmente una vez y tiene que pasar mucho tiempo hasta que la vuelves a poner o no lo haces ya nunca más. Sin embargo mi experiencia es que un concierto lo pongo multitud de veces.
¿Alguno de vosotros tiene el de David Gilmour?. Dicen por ahí que es penoso de imagen por lo que no lo he comprado, pero nunca sabes si es cierto o no. Ya me diréis si alguno lo tiene.
He visto en amazon.com el BR de los rolling stones, shine a light y segun las caracteristicas pone que es region 1 y que esta subtitulado en español. Me funcionara en mi ps3? y, es cierto que esta subtitulado? No se si pillarmelo o esperarme a que salga en españa o pillarme en cambio la edicion especial que hay en amazon.uk (alguno me podria explicar que contiene esa edicion y si es recomendable).

El de John Mayer sensacional en sonido y justito como Alta Definición, pero musicalmente está tan bien que te olvidas de que la imagen no esté tan a la altura.
Lo curioso es que está mejor de definición cuando está hablando fuera del escenario que en la actuación.
Si es que debe haber cada manta trabajando en esto la realización de BD's......
A ver si reanimamos este hilo que puede ser bastante interesante.
Acabo de recibir de Amazon.UK el de Jethro Tull y es impresionante. De lo mejor que he visto en definición e imagen. Para usar como demo.
El sonido también buenísimo. Si os gusta este grupo, imprescindible tenerlo.
Pedí también el de Legends Live at Montreux. Una grabación del 97 de la que no me esperaba nada, pero como salía Eric Clapton.....
Y es otra joya. ¡Como nos han estado engañando con el DVD!. ¡Como es posible tal definición en una grabación tan antigua!. Solo por unos pocos blu rays como éste ya merece la pena tener un reproductor de BD.
Si bien los colores son un pelo apagados y en una canción que toca E.Clapton con la acústica el volumen de la guitarra no está a la altura de los otros instrumentos, todo lo demás es buenísimo. Había leido críticas de que era un concierto un tanto extraño por la mezcla de estilos de los músicos pero el resultado es muy bueno en mi opinion.
Bueno, ahora os toca a vosotros.....
Es que vaya dos joyas que has nombrado, el de Jethro Tull ademas de tocar sus mejores temas tiene una pista DTS HD MASTER AUDIO buenisima y la calidad de imagen es superior, y el de LEGENDS es otra joya con cinco musicos increibles tocando una mezcla de JAZZ-BLUES con unos solos de Marcus Miller y Eric Clapton que quitan el hipo, con la misma pista de audio que en el caso anterior.Dos conciertos increibles en una edición perfecta y es que Montreaux y Eagle-vision suelen ser sinonimo de calidad.
Ademas de los dos que has citado tengo otros dos que son el de Led-Zeppelin The Song Remains The same, con un sonido Dolby TrueHD 5.1 que deja la version en DVD en stereo a la altura del betun, la imagen sin ser perfecta es buena teniendo en cuenta el tiempo transcurrido.
Y por ultimo tengo el de Santana Hymns for Peace tambien en Montreaux 2004 y editado por Eagle-visión, al ser mas reciente la imagen es perfecta y el sonido es DTSHD 5.1, dura 181 minutos asi que aunque algun tema no te guste, seguro que encontras como minimo 120 minutos que si te gustara, salen tantos musicos que no los voy poner todos, pero ademas de la banda de Santana al completo , tenemos intervenciones jugosas de gente tan buena como Stevie Winwood, Herbie Hancock,Chick Corea, casi na.
Estoy muy interesado en conciertos en Blue Ray, asi que si alguien compra alguno que lo comente.

El de Eagles me lo tengo que pillar, pero estoy buscando uno antes que me tiene flipao y no lo encuentro, es le de KEN HENSLEY, el teclista de Uriah Heep. Os lo recomiendo porque ya lo he visto en DVD y en 1080 tiene que ser.......

En cuento a sonido una de las autenticas referencias en Bd es sin duda [UK] Within Temptation "Black Symphony". Es el Bd musical mas abrumador que he visto, oido, sentido y disfrutado, algo fuera de lo normal, y no estoy exagerando.

The Video: Sizing Up the Picture
The Blu-ray edition of ‘Within Temptation: Black Symphony’ features an excellent 1080i/AVC-encoded transfer (never fear, the footage has been converted to 60hz for international viewers) that doesn’t suffer from any persistent or debilitating issues. The lush stage lighting bathes the performers in vibrant splashes of color, Adel’s costumes are lovingly rendered, and the crowd is submerged in a flood of deep and natural shadows. Contrast is a bit hot on occasion and fine detail does fluctuate a bit, but I doubt either is the result of a technical problem with the transfer. Despite the at-times garish lighting, skintones remain warm and natural, primaries rarely bleed, and textures continue to pop. More importantly, the picture is quite clean and isn’t plagued by the heavy blocking, banding, and noise that disrupts other notable BD concert releases.
Of course, that isn’t to say the transfer is flawless. The image is occasionally disrupted by minor artifacting (especially during quick cuts to scenes involving the gaudy filtering and post-production nonsense I mentioned earlier), crush is a slight problem, and I caught a few random instances of aliasing and shimmering. Still, ‘Within Temptation: Black Symphony’ definitely belongs in the upper echelon of BD concert discs. It may not be the most beautiful concert disc I’ve reviewed, but it does offer a striking filmic presentation that enhances the disc’s reference quality audio track as well as the concert itself
The Audio: Rating the Sound
As always, the most important aspect of any live concert release is its audio package. In that regard, the Blu-ray import of ’Within Temptation: Black Symphony’ is an absolute showstopper when it comes to track selection (the disc includes five different audio mixes) and overall technical quality.
Front and center is a powerful, 96kHz/24-bit uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround track that brings the Rotterdam performance surging into your home theater. Where to begin? The LFE channel continually offers fans resonant bass beats, earthy thooms, and healthy choral support. Dynamics are quite impressive, delivering everything from Adel’s lyrics to the band’s guitar riffs with crisp, clean, and stable treble tones. Better still, convincing crowd noise regularly erupts from the rear speakers, pans are invisible, and the Ahoy Arena acoustics are believable and realistic. I can’t tell you how many times I was impressed with each particular element as it was distributed throughout the soundfield. Even the various pyrotechnics arrive with sonic shock and awe, flooding the soundscape with fierce explosions, rapid bursts of activity, and aggressive, multi-channel presence. To top it all off, the entire track boasts an undeniable clarity that makes this release worth every dime.
However, even if your audio rig can’t handle the full weight of this default PCM monster, you’re in luck. The disc also features a variety of additional audio options (all of relatively high quality) including PCM Stereo, DTS 5.1, and standard Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 tracks. All things considered, you couldn’t ask for a better live concert audio package than this one. Fans should be thoroughly pleased with the results.
Final Thoughts
Is ‘Within Temptation: Black Symphony’ worth importing? If you have any love of the band and its music, and have some extra cash to toss around, the answer is a resounding yes. The Blu-ray edition of the concert performance features an excellent video transfer, a jaw dropping 96kHz/24-bit uncompressed PCM surround track (among other high quality audio options), and a decent trio of features. Granted, the bonus DVD (will be inaccessible to anyone who doesn't have a PAL player, but it’s a small dent in an otherwise impressive technical juggernaut.

The audio on Black Symphony just has to be heard to be believed. It never failed to deliver, and packed several spatial effects I found quite surprising. Complete with a 5.1 24/96khz PCM track at the data rate of 13.8mbps, a Dts 96/24 5.1 track at the data rate of 1509mbps, a Dolby Digital track at 448kbps, a PCM stereo track at 4.6mbps, and lastly a lowly Dolby Digital stereo track at 224kbps. I chose the 5.1 PCM tracks for very obvious reasons. It was the best sounding hands down. The opening overture nicely sets the tone opening with choral vocals spread across the back wall of my home theater, and nice bleeding into the rear sides of the room. Once the Orchestra kicks in, you hear these beautifully recorded, smooth and extended violins, rich and full lower brass and strings, powerful but not strident upper brass that just cuts through the air like a knife, and an overall naturalness and clarity that only well recorded 24/96khz audio can deliver. Balance is truly superb, as the guitars, bass, keyboards; drums and Orchestra are finely, and tightly woven together to create a powerful and relentless drive, and wall of sound that leaves you breathless, exhausted, and fully satisfied after the last note is played. The audience was mainly spread in the surrounds, but was so finely and realistically captured, that I times it sounded like a person was yelling on the side of me, and behind me. The LFE was used for the bass frequencies exclusively, and was constantly active throughout the entire concert. If I had any issues with the sound, it was either with the technique of the lead vocalist, or the microphone used to capture her. As she jumped from her chest voice to her head voice, the vocals started to sound mushy, and her diction very indistinct. I had to turn on the subtitles to understand what she was actually saying.
In comparing each track, I found there was no contest between the 24/96khz PCM, and the other tracks, with Dts 96/24 not that far behind. The wonderfully captured 5.1 uncompressed track was extremely full sounding, powerful, ultra-balanced, without a single wart sticking out. The Dts 96/24 track sounded much the same, but with a hair less presence, and a wee bit smaller sound field and frontal soundstage. It had all the spatial coherence of the uncompressed multichannel track, and was nothing to sneeze at. The Dolby Digital 5.1 track sounded slightly mushy and less defined than the Dts 96/24 track, and had a bit smaller sound field, and a mushy sound staging of the instruments. The stereo PCM track had a pretty defined frontal soundstage and sound field, but lack the spatial dimension of the multichannel tracks. The stereo Dolby Digital track was plain unlistenable compared to the rest. It had a very mushy, phasey quality that I found very unpleasant. Overall the sound was a home run, and of reference quality to these ears.
