Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will celebrate the 35 anniversary of Fraggle Rock: The Complete Series with a brand new Blu-ray release, which will be available for purchase on September 25th.

Studio description: Described by its legendary creator Jim Henson as "a high-energy, raucous musical romp," Fraggle Rock stars a cast of puppet creatures called Fraggles, quirky cave-dwellers who live in an underground world alongside their industrious green neighbors, the Doozers, and a family of enormous Gorgs. The series follows the fun adventures of the furry subterranean creatures and features a unique mix of music from all genres including folk, blues, gospel, country and rock, all while embracing themes of friendship, tolerance, diversity and caring for the planet.

All 96 episodes in the 12-disc set from the show's four seasons are FULLY REMASTERED IN HIGH-DEFINITION and presented with lossless audio on Blu-ray. This set is also available in special limited edition "scrapbook" packaging, featuring rare behind the scenes photos and an introduction from Uncle Travelling Matt.

Fraggle Rock: The Complete Series is loaded with bonus content on Blu-ray, including the all-new "Fraggle Music Celebration," where viewers can enjoy their favorite Fraggle songs with sing-alongs for every episode (100 songs!) or hit shuffle and let the Fraggles choose the songs. Also newly included on the Blu-ray set is a fun and rare personal glimpse behind the curtain with creator Jim Henson, plus a 1993 throwback segment from "The Today Show" featuring Uncle Travelling Matt, along with more than eight hours of archival special features, including interviews with the cast and crew, featurettes, promos and the complete "Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series."

No cuentes con ello. Es un producto para USA solo, seguro. La compañía de Jim Henson se encarga del proyecto, Sony solo distribuye. Por lo tanto, a menos que Jim Henso tenga la iniciativa. Pero en otros países seguramente otros tengan los derechos.

Por ser tiquismiquis... en los mismos datos del disco, pone que como tal, es del 82... celebran 1 año tarde el 35 aniv...


No se si alegrarme en parte... o llorar por seguir viendo como ediciones que me ilusionan, no pueda disfrutarlas por no tener al menos subtítulos en spanish...

Es una de las series de mi infancia... es más... cumple años tal que yo, de ahí mi opinión de inicio.

Wikipedia dice que la primera emisión fue el 10 de enero de 1983

Wikipedia también dice, por cierto, que la serie, internacionalmente, tiene sus propias versiones de las escenas en el mundo real. Nosotros los españoles y noruegos fuimos la excepción. Eso haría la cosa mas facil para su lanzamiento aquí, en temas de vídeo y sincronización, pero habría que seguir lidiando temas de derechos y que alguien la quisiera sacar aquí y con el mismo lujo que Sony en USA..

No lo voy a discutir... por que no lo se de primera mano...

Pero supongo que como todo, la licencia-patente sería del año anterior, cuando se grabara-filmara... es más ya digo, en el mismo disco sale 1982.

Para mi sería una gran alegría... pero bueno, mi gozo en un pozo con X-files... esta se sumaría...
