Tema: Lanzamientos de "Criterion Collection"

Ojalá que la edición de Don't Look Now suponga una mejora de imagen respecto a la edición británica.

Deseando ver la copia de Criterion de Don't Look Now.
Me llama la atención lo de "aprobada por el director".

El máster que sacaron los británicos, no es que lo aprobara el director, es que se obtuvo bajo su atenta mirada, intervención directa y vigilancia. Y salió un blu-ray (optimum/uk) cuanto menos "discutible" ...

A ver ahora criterion, partiendo del mismo máster, qué nos saca.

A veces pienso que lo que debería aprobar un director, además del máster obtenido en la restauración, es el propio blu-ray en sí mismo. Porque dejarte intervenir en el proceso de restauración y remasterización, y luego a tus espaldas "arreglar" el resultado... parece un poco chungo (sobre todo porque luego en las portadas de los bds suelen indicar lo de "approved by...", que puede generar confusión).

Añado mi interes por la soberbia Watership Down. Especialmente por compararlo con las ediciones existentes, alemana y británica.

Solo se salva El Sabor del Sake de esa lista pero por lo menos tienen la decencia de incluir un único título bueno en este mes, que hay meses que no hay ni eso...

Si alguno estabais pensando en haceros con la edición de Criterion del THIEF de Michael Mann, por aquello de que el nuevo master tenga más detalle y sea "director approved", aunque se vea más verde que MATRIX...

No hombre, el pintor (impresionista) era el padre; Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Su hijo, Jean Renoir, es el director de cine. Y uno de los mejores directores de la historia de cine, oiga.

Tengo mucho interes en ver como lo hacen con las de Yates y Renoir. Muy buena tanda de films esta vez.

La de Renoir "El río" hay disponible una edición francesa, técnicamente muy buena, que es posible comprar a través de Amazon España, mas que solo incluye subtítulos opcionales en francés. Menciono esto porque suele estar a muy buen precio.
