Una curiosidad que tal vez sea conocida entre los presentes; hay una edición francesa de 'Black Narcissus' y según blu-ray.com parece que emplea como master el de Criterion. Lo malo es que dicha edición NO tiene subs en inglés, sólo francés.

Las reviews paracen inclinarse a favor de Criterion, aunque me llama la atención que la imagen parece recortada respecto a la edición del BFI.
Si hay que notar que esta nueva versión tiene colores más naturales y un saludable grano muy por sobre la británica, que parece muy intervenida
Por cierto, no sé que opináis, pero el package es una belleza!

espectacular tu trabajo, muchisimas gracias de veras, pero que sepas que ya te odio un poco, no sabia que benjamin button tenia spanish en subtitulos, ya tengo la edicion española y me estaba planteando comprar la edicion criterion, merece la pena por hacer un costum en condiciones, gracias a todos de antemano.

Sí, señor, se han luciddo (en el buen sentido) ... edición de referencia, vamos, sólo les ha faltado meterlo en una caja de zapatos con un paraguas, no se puede estar en todo :P coincide además con las cajas de Kazan de Fox, toda una celebración de este grande del cine americano en el 10º aniversario de su muerte.

A mí ya me acompañó la semana pasada, gracias a la campaña de Barnes & Noble del 50% en Criterion, mi 10% extra de socio, y la afortunada circunstancia de que, debido al paso del huracán Sandy, la campaña se prorrogó una semana y se solapó con el Black Friday y un vale genérico del 30%...Cita:

En realidad no es tanto como parece, porque los descuentos no se acumulan, sino que se aplican en sucesión sobre el precio resultante de aplicar el descuento anterior, pero aun así...
Resultado: menos de 14$ por título standard. Y, claro, me dejé llevar (bueno, no todas las pagué a ese estupendo precio, porque, para cuando emitieron el vale de 30% de descuento, yo ya había picado con unas cuantas al 50% menos mi 10% de socio).
No acostumbro a exhibir mis compras como piezas de caza, pero creo que esta vez la ocasión lo merece:

Al igual que buena parte de la campaña del Black Friday, las "rebajas" de Amazon en Criterion han llegado a la zaga de las de la cadena Best Buy, que actualmente tiene HEAVEN'S GATE a la venta por 26.99$. Así que no me extrañaría que Amazon igualara ese precio a no mucho tardar.
No es un 50%, pero casi, casi. :agradable

Dos peliculones calentitos que salen hoy, Brazil, que aun no se muy bien en que difiere a la edición que ya había y Plein Soleil, obra maestra absoluta, Heavens Gate la baje por la red y resincronice unos subtítulos para ella, si alguien los quiere que me avise.
