Mondo Macabro's Flash Pre-Sale sold out in less than 20 minutes.
I feel like I should be celebrating a huge success, which it is. But instead I am freaked out by some of the vitriol being spewed at us.
750 was the most we could make of the UHD edition of DEATH SQUAD, a hugely obscure movie that most people had not even heard of until we announced it.
But people who missed out on it are basically telling me we are stupid for doing it this way, and have basically ruined their day/week/life.
Despite the fact that this title will be available again as a
BD-only limited edition during the Halloween Sale starting on Oct 31st.
I just don't understand the anger. I get being bummed that you missed something you wanted, but I don't get why you have to lash out at people just doing the best they can to try and sell stuff they are passionate about in order to make a living. We are not getting rich off this stuff. We are putting food on the table, and shelter over our heads, like everyone else.
So if you are bummed about this, or anything else like this that sells out quickly and you missed out on, take a moment a reflect on your own feelings about it before making a hateful comment toward the small business that should be super happy about doing something well.
It's not that hard.
