Estupendo lanzamiento el de Ricardo III. Además de la nominación a mejor actor en los Oscar para Olivier, recibió el Globo de Oro a mejor película extranjera, y 3 premios BAFTA a mejor película, mejor película británica y mejor actor británico (Olivier).

La edición en bluray saldrá el 22 de enero.
Si queréis ver como es la imagen, está disponible en Prime Video. Aunque en el tráiler ya se demuestra claramente.

Menos mal que edita A contracorriente. De haber sido Arvi nos hubiera llegado la versión restaurada para Beta.

La he visto en Prime Video y se me han caído dos lágrimas. Cómo luce la condenada...

The art of composing modern scores is the having the skill set to keep motifs alive while being relevant. But too many times, newer composers have no idea what fully developed themes are because they grew up on scores that are nothing more than ostinatos and “buahs.”

Criterion, por favor, te ruego que hagas lo mismo con los otros dos Shakespeares de Olivier, Enrique V y Hamlet.
Filmes completamente diferentes visualmente y en cuanto a puesta en escena, pero brillantes todos ellos.
Olivier era tal bestia interpretativamente hablando que creo que sus -considerables, a mi juicio- méritos tras la cámara se suelen olvidar con demasiada frecuencia, pero hay soluciones formales muy estimulantes en su obra como director.
Hace leí esto en los foros de Blu-Ray.com, sobre las ediciones existentes en Blu-Ray de Enrique V y Hamlet .
This is advertised as a digital restoration. Clearly, ITV's view of what this meant is different to everyone else's.
Watching this now, in 2018, it's watchable but incredibly rough. It's not so much the DNR that bothers me but the fact the separate colour elements haven't been matched up correctly, leaving a very soft look covered in chromatic aberration at edges. This can be impossible to do photo-chemically but should be much easier to get brilliant results digitally.
It's partner release, Hamlet, is also pretty rough with lots of EE on that one.
These two really need revisiting and restored properly. Hamlet shouldn't be too difficult in the right hands, but Henry V really needs a company of individuals with experience of Technicolour restoration, since getting good results needs a lot of care and attention along with the right tools.
