Benjamin Millepied’s CARMEN is a stunner, dipping into in the styles of Luhrmann, Lynch, Taymor and Denis while remaining wholly original and audacious. Melissa Barrera and Paul Mescal are transcendent here and Nicholas Britell’s score (and original songs) swoons and thrills
