Directed by David E. Hanson

Battle of the Planets was a translation of a series that ran in Japan in the 1970's called Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, which ran for a grand total of 205 episodes. The original series was revolutionary in it's day, starting a whole new genre for 'team' shows. Battle of the Planet was created using 85 episodes of the first Gatchaman series, which ran for 105 episodes. Animation of 7-Zark-7, the Ready-Room, and several space and planet shots were added to BotP by an American animation studio.

Saludos.
