Barry,los demás están demasiado asociados a otros personajes.

Bueno, es verdad que uno es Spiderman y el otro Batman, pero del Eros de Styles aún hemos visto muy muy poco y Barry puede seguir siendo Druig.

Lo difícil es dar ya con algún intérprete que no haya lasido en una peli de superhéroes

…. pero, hay una serie de “obstáculos” para cerrar el trato:

Pugh is being courted to play Princess Irulan, the daughter of the Emperor. Several obstacles remain, however, for any deal. The script is still being written, and thus the actress is said to be waiting for the latest draft. Also, scheduling poses another hurdle. Legendary is hoping to begin shooting this summer, but Pugh is also in contention for the Madonna biopic, and it is unclear when that would go, should she nab that lead role.

Artículo en Vanity Fair sobre Villeneuve y Dune

I’m finishing the screenplay now, and we expect to be shooting by summer, which is practically tomorrow morning. With the first half of Dune, the toughest part was introducing the world and laying down the rules. Now just the fun of the story is left. I’m always very cautious discussing movies that are in the making; they’re full of fragile ideas. But the second one will definitely be more visual and less dialogue-driven. And, hopefully, there will be another film after that. Dune Messiah, Herbert’s second novel in this universe, would make total sense as a third movie because it completes Paul Atreides’s arc. I want to make part two as fast as possible, then I will wait a few years—until Timothée Chalamet gets a bit older—to do the final installment.

El guión de la segunda parte se está terminando y se rueda en verano. Villeneuve quiere que la película sea más visual y espera poder hacer un tercer film, adaptando El mesías de Dune para cerrrar el arco de Paul Atreides.
