A greater omission is the absence of the feature-length documentary that Ed Marsh reportedly completed, only to have Cameron spike it. Judging from the amount of empty space on the fourth disc, that's where it was supposed to have gone. Cameron has a reputation as a "screamer" on the set - Entertainment Weekly observed in their Oscar coverage that the sound men still looked frightened of him as they collected their trophies - so it's possible that Cameron didn't like the way he came off, despite the success of resulting film.
While I was tempted to dock a point for the missing documentary and fourth disc, in the end there is simply too much solid, non-fluffy content to spite it over the things not included. If you never knew about what was left out, you'd be more than satisfied by what is included here. With three good commentaries, nearly four hours of featurettes and almost 2000 pages of images and writing, to complain about any short-comings are almost ungrateful.
