Parece pues que todo lo que es de Warner, lógico. Perdemos Ghibli (por razones obvias), Barrio Sésamo y poco más. No veo sección de los Looney Tunes como en USA. Y parece que se quedará parte del catálogo de HBO España ya disponible. Espero que no sea la misma calidad..Iniciado por Cachicamo

Imagino el precio especial durante un año sera tanto para usuarios suscritos como para nuevas suscripciones o renovaciones.
Yo tengo cuenta de hbo pero de momento finalizo hace 15 dias y no he renovado, espero que la oferta sea valida..
Y sobre todo espero que mejoren la app con perfiles y un funcionamiento acorde a los nuevos tiempos, ya que hbo en este sentido se ha quedado desfasada.

Sin duda es muy interesante y atrayente este paso de HBO, en todos los sentidos parece que a mucho mejor, el día 26 me hago el plan anual sin pensarlo.

Ya de por sí la calidad será mucho mejor, esperemos que la migración de los contenidos que ya estaban en HBO España tambien sea de calidad y no lo mismo. Todo a 25fps, comprimido horriblemente que ni parece HD.. y además es que la plataforma y la app son tres mil veces mejor. Esperaba este cambio todo el año.

Bueno, lo que viene siendo la app de HBO Max actual tampoco es para tirar cohetes. Por eso van a renovarla por completo en todos los dispositivos (será una nueva app completamente escrita desde cero), entre lo que queda de este año y principios del siguiente:

We're going to replace every single connected TV app in the next four or five months," said an unnamed WarnerMedia exec. Apple TV customers will likely have to wait until the end of the year for the new app to appear, and an overhaul of the mobile and web-based apps is planned for early 2022.
WarnerMedia has also admitted that the current HBO Max app wasn't built from scratch, and has been running on a retrofitted version of the old HBO Go and HBO Now services, which were designed for a very different product. Hence the decision to start afresh with a completely new app, which has been in the works since at least late last year.
According to the report, the problems started when the company launched a new $10 ad-supported tier and expanded its app to 39 new countries in June. Integrating commercials into what had been an ad-free platform required the introduction of a whole new layer of app coding, and that's when the widely reported bugs were established.

Ponyo, no te preocupes por el tema de la calidad. Se aplica a todo el catálogo y se verá mucho mejor.

Es una curiosidad (y seguro que una tontería), pero ¿Os habéis fijado que no hay nada de El Señor de los Anillos en la imagen promocional de HBO MAX? Joder, hasta sale Eduard Fernández en 30 Monedas, Batman, los Looney Tunes, Harry Potter, etc... Pero nada, cero, rien de rien de ESDLA...

Sobre otra plataforma más, pues la burbuja se detendrá aquí. Es decir, yo creo que, a nivel mundial, estarán Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, HBO MAX y Apple TV+ (esta última porque los de Cupertino no aceptan la derrota y tienen el dinero por castigo, y eso que tienen cosas muy interesantes y chulas en su catálogo). Ni Paramout+ ni Peacock las veo a nivel internacional (en USA vale, como tercera o cuarta opción... Y ya veremos dentro de 5-10 si siguen vivas).
A partir de ahí, pues como dice B/D, filtrar y ver que la que más te interese, irte a esa. Y sobre todo compartir (en mi caso particular, Spotify+Netflix+Prime Video+Apple TV+me sale por 17€ al mes... Si HBO MAX se puede compartir y supongo que sí, tiene hasta 3 dispositivos simultáneos y puedes pillar la oferta de 12 meses por el precio de 8, pues en total me gastaría al mes 20€... Que no me sacan de pobre, y como total apenas salgo "de fiesta" -ergo, cubateo y demás-, pues prefiero irme a la montaña a subir piedras, pues mira, ahí las tengo. Claro, tienes que tener al posibilidad de compartir).
Al final, cada caso es muy particular.

ESDLA si que está, pero por alguna razón no sale en el banner. En el vídeo corporativo promocional (¡de media hora!), si. Por lo demás, completamente de acuerdo contigo. Al poderse compartir, salen por dos duros. Yo tampoco bebo ni salgo de fiesta. Somos muy caseros.
HBO Max tendrá perfiles (hasta 5), así que lo de compartir y que cada uno veo lo suyo, sin problemas.

Explotar la burbuja posiblemente no, hay compañías potentes detrás, pero que algunas mueran por el camino es mas que probable, ya ha pasado, pasará con otras.

¿Qué sentido tiene estar suscritos a todas las plataformas existentes en el mismo mes? Yo creo que ninguno.
Cuantas más plataformas tengamos, más opciones tendremos para elegir.
Quién sabe si en un futuro Peacock, Paramount+ (Sky Showtime en ESPAÑA) o AppleTV+ compran Netflix para unificar contenidos..
el futuro es incierto y cualquier cosa puede pasar.
Además que una plataforma nueva sea menos exitosa que Netflix no quiere decir que la vayan a cerrar, simplemente es una nueva forma de consumir para la compañia y recibir ingresos en sus multiples formas. Además que Peacock (CBS) es una compañía muy grande y no solo vivirá del streaming. Quizás sea AppleTV+ la que nunca despegue, pero eso no significa que cierren su canal. Es una empresa que se puede permitir pérdidas, porque no solo vive del streaming. Como las que aún no han llegado a España.
Sobre HBOmax,
Me parece genial que mantengan su precio y vayan a tener contenidos en 4K Dolby Vision/Atmos.

Yo estoy suscrito a todo todo el tiempo. Si te lo puedes permitir y lo vas a usar... lo mismo veo algo que está en X catalogo un día, y al día siguiente algo que resulta estar en otra plataforma. Sin problemas.

Con esos precios tan competitivos, y el catálogo que tienen, si ponen la plataforma al día en el apartado técnico (sobre todo el bit rate) va a ser en mi opinión una opción mucho más interesante que Netflix.
I'd imagine the whole world was one big machine. Machines never come with any extra parts, you know. They always come with the exact amount they need. So I figured, if the entire world was one big machine, I couldn't be an extra part. I had to be here for some reason.(HUGO)

La suscripción anual es solo para suscriptores actuales de HBO.
No me queda claro que si me puedo dar de alta ahora y aprovechar la suscripción anual a partir del 26 de octubre.

Eso dice la web, pero su CEO Europea y la promoción dan a entender que es para todo el mundo.

No tendría sentido que la suscripción anual sea solo para los ya están. Creo que será como Disney+, los que quieren solo ir mes a mes y los que quieran pagar año entero tienen su rebaja al pagar de una vez el año.
