"We did with Alfonso."

Radcliffe added, "It is hard. It's more challenging, which is good, because if we're getting older and we're not being challenged, then there's no point in doing it, really. But I think it's just that we learn more with each director. And now with the fourth film, with Mike Newell directing, I think that we're going to learn even more as well." Watson Reveals Azkaban Cuts

How any film with Gary Oldman in it can go wrong is a mystery to me (although having him on-screen for about 10 minutes is a start), but the main idea with any film, in my opinion, would be to actually develop a plotline that gives the audience at least three different acts, as opposed to a one-line synopsis that can describe the entire movie: "Sirius Black escapes from prison and is out to get Harry". That's basically what we get from the film from scene one, and a long 140 minutes later, we are given an extremely anti-climactic and tepid resolution, that doesn't only let down any sort of basic build-up that had come before it, but left me feeling very little closure. At this point, I'll be glad to admit that these films might simply be for "fans" of the books, because to be honest...I just don't get the appeal. Sure, the whole "wizard" angle is an interesting one, most of the effects in this film are particularly accomplished and the continuity of the characters from film to film is semi-engaging, but does anybody really care about the one-note storyline? Where are the obstacles? Where are the memorable sequences? Where are the situations of peril, the action scenes, the powers used by Harry the mighty wizard? (this kid might just be Gandalf's illegitimate son, according to the number of times he actually uses his powers...)

To top things off, much like its predecessors, this movie just goes on for way too long. An easy half and hour of supposed "plot" could have been cut from this thing in order to snap things up, including extraneous sequences featuring an eagle-horse thingie, the rain-drenched game of Quiddish, any scenes with Emma Thompson's over-the-top new teacher character and anything having to do with that lame-ass, one-dimensional "bad kid" Malfoy, who is nothing more than a thorn in everyone's side...but not for any other reason than because, well...I guess the film needs to have a thorn in everyone's side. Furthermore, if the film is called HARRY POTTER, how come Hermione is the character who ultimately seems to have the greater chops? Bah. The ending also felt a tad repetitive with certain "time-referential" elements not helping matters and the werewolf CGI not providing the film which its greatest effects. The things I did appreciate about the film included its many cute, small wizardy special effects, the continued great work by Alan Rickman as Professor Snape, the welcome addition of David Thewliss and his character of Professor Lupin, the "dementors" roaming the skies, as well as the zippy sequence with the double-decker bus. Other than that, there is very little about this bloated package that delivered anything of great impact, particularly its story-line, which as previously mentioned, is basically one-tone in nature, and ultimately, not altogether interesting, surprising, entertaining or fulfilling (that enough "ing" words for you?) Even Daniel Radcliffe comes off badly in a couple of scenes where the now-teen actor is asked to convey actual emotion-I guess he doesn't possess the wizardry prowess to make himself a good actor just yet. Overall, the film was gorgeous to look at (the snow scenes were brilliant), but bored me for most of its runtime and didn't inject any of the so-called magical appeal that everyone else seems to be getting from these flicks into me. Oh well, to each his own, as I always say...<hr></blockquote>

La verdad tendré que ver la película, pero tan siquiera el final se parezca al final de libro, creo que es uno de los finales más espectaculares de los libros, solo por encima del cuarto, que el final del cuarto es la rehostia.
También lo bueno sería saber a partir de donde se puede decir que empieza el final, valga la contradicción.
Pero claro como soy un fan es muy difícil verlo des de su posición.

Pues como esto se ponga de moda ya es lo que faltaba: si ya teníamos poco castigo con los comedores de palomitas, los "sorbedores" de refresco, los niñatos que se ríen hasta de su sombra, las abuelitas que te hacen el audiocomentario de la película, los "futbolistas" que entrenan su remate con el asiento del de delante.... ahora además tendremos a los acomodadores durante toda la película dando vueltas por la sala, y molestando al personal cada vez que se pongan a registrar a cualquier sospechoso de estar grabando la película.
Esto además me parece una gilipollez, porque al final siempre habrá alguien que consiga grabarla, por muchas medidas de seguridad que pongan... y en cuanto haya una sola persona que la grabe, al día siguiente ya habrá millones de copias por toda Gran Bretaña y poco después por medio mundo. Es como intentar barrer el desierto con una escoba <img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/juggle2.gif ALT=":malabares">

Dark Horizons informa de que la tercera entrega de HP ha sido la mejor acogida por la crítica con un 89% de positivas y una nota media de 7,6 frente a las cifras de 78%-6,9 y 82%-7,2 de La Piedra Filosofal y La Cámara Secreta respectivamente.

Además es la tercera película con mejores críticas de este año por debajo de "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" y "Shrek 2" y por encima del vol. 2 de "Kill Bill".

Edito: Review del webmaster de Potter Online

Hay bastantes spoilers y se nota que no está hecho por un profesional. Y cuando habla del doblaje, se refiere al doblaje latinoamericano.

Solo no me gustaron dos cosas. La primera, no tan grave (para mi) fue lo de la Saeta de Fuego. Es un elemento valiosísimo para Harry en el libro, pero en la película solo se la nombra al final, y es cuando la recibe; y lo otro, el encantamiento Patronus. Era un Ciervo, no un campo magnético! Lo que menos parece es un Patronus eso! No se si leyeron el libro los que lo hicieron, pero así el Patronus no es... solo se ve un Ciervo cuando Harry se ve a él mismo desde el otro lado del Lago, pero el Ciervo ni se mueve... la cosa era que galope y les clave la cornamenta a los Dementores!
La voz de Hermione traducida es espantosa! Lo que menos parece es de una chica...
Sin embargo, la película, pese a esas cosas, es única. Lupin y Sirius son geniales, y Dumbledore también. El Quidditch (aunque mucho Quidditch no se vio) fue genial. Cuando Harry vuela entre los dementores, es una de la mejores escena, y Cedric (aunque se vio poco) está perfecto.
Cambiaron mucho los cuadros y los fantasmas, son mucho más reales.

La Película mejoró totalmente con respecto a las otras dos. Es un trabajo genial (y si no fuera por lo del Patronus sería la mejor película) y desde aquí, me pongo de pie y le hago una reverencia al mexicano Alfonso Cuarón...
