Director Mike Newell talked to Variety about helming the fourth "Harry Potter" movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He says he wanted to introduce the darker tone himself:

"Of course, what I had wanted to do was introduce the darker adolescent tone myself and found to my horror that Alfonso had gotten there before me and with great style and determination. And so I think there is a kind of tap dance between the mixture the audience wants, which of course is determined by the books," and what each individual director might want to bring to it.

Newell also addressed the long length of the fourth book and not splitting it into two films:

In the end, screenwriter Steve Kloves was among those who pressed for a single movie. "Steve wasn't sure what to do with the material he would have had to dispense with in order to make the first one ... coherent enough for a whole second film," says Newell.

So the challenge became how to make this film different enough to stand apart yet recognizably of a piece with the others. "What you do," says the helmer, "is you pack it with references and suggestions and so forth which, of course, you have taken from the book. So that a reader coming to the film goes, 'Oh, I see. I get it. They did it that way.' You're the guardian of the book, and at the same time, you have absolutely to be able to step off the books and say, 'We had better distill this.' Distillation is a very good word for it."

In related news, Jason Isaacs recently posted a brief message to his fans about the return of his character, Lucius Malfoy, in "Goblet of Fire."

"Like I said, I'm doing a spit and a cough in Harry Potter in February. For the Potter fans you'll remember that Lucius is only on 2 pages of the book so, proportionately, I'm barely in the film but I wasn't going to miss the chance to wear my Pamela Anderson wig again. If only to make sure that I can remember the voice for number five."

And speaking of number five, director David Yates told UK paper This is Wiltshire that he will be helming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, but that he's not yet signed. "I will be directing the film but there are a few more details to be finalised on the deal over the next week," he said.<hr></blockquote>

- Harry Potter y la Cámara Secreta (en mi opinión además el mejor adaptado al cine hasta la fecha)
- Harry Potter y la Piedra Filosofal
- Harry Potter y el Cáliz de Fuego
- Harry Potter y la Orden del Fénix (la historia es buena, pero sigo diciendo que le sobran páginas por un tubo)

En cuanto a las fotos, la verdad es que es imposible no reirse viendo al amigo Ron con su "túnica de gala" y sobre todo con el careto que pone <img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/laugh4.gif ALT=":lol"> Yo al leer el libro no me imaginaba algo tan horrendo, la verdad.
Por cierto: la otra foto no le hace justicia en absoluto a Hermione <img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/deal2.gif ALT=":lee"> Parece que tiene patas de gallo <img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=":D"> Esperaremos a las próximas con impaciencia.

Veremos si la cuarta peli esta a la altura del libro pues a mi la tercera pelicula no me gustó nada. Por cierto, ¿todavia no sabemos nada de la fecha en castellano del 6º no?
