After what seems like an eternity of waiting, Universal will finally give us a two-disc special edition of Double Indemnity (1944) on August 29th. There are no details on content as yet. Let's hope this is a Legacy Series edition and one at least as good as that for To Kill a Mockingbird.

Siendo Universal, casi seguro la subtitulación española en película y, posiblemente, extras.

Y otra noticia que permite albergar esperanzas en nuestra zona, en esta ocasión con Paramount de protagonista:

Paramount also mines more of its Republic holdings with releases of four topnotch films - A Double Life, Force of Evil, Johnny Guitar, and Pursued. All except Johnny Guitar were previously made available on DVD by Artisan with the fine western noir Pursued having been a particularly abysmal effort.

De la misma forma que salió aquí El extraño amor de Martha Ivers, esperemos que también lo hagan Doble vida, La fuerza del destino, Perseguida y, cómo no, Johnny Guitar.
