The Three Musketeers are being revived again, this time being brought back to the big screen by Sherlock Holmes producer and co-writer Lionel Wigram.
Wigram has hired Peter Straughan (Sixty Six, The Men Who Stare at Goats) to turn Alexandre Dumas’ classic 17th century adventure into a swashbuckling tale that will make it more accessible to younger moviergoers.
No director or cast has been attached to the project yet. Paul W.S. Anderson is also developing a 3D version of The Three Musketeers for German-based Constantin.
