Años antes, tuvo un accidente muy gordo de coche en que casi se mueren él y uno de sus hijos. El otro de sus hijos tuvo menos suerte y no sobrevivió. Tuvo que ser una cosa espantosa que se despertase del coma, preguntara por sus hijos y le dijeran que uno estaba grave y el otro se había muerto.
