Guillermo del Toro dice que Frankenstein "tendrá el mayor estreno en cines que Netflix le da a sus películas".
Son tres semanas en exclusiva y luego podrá permanecer más tiempo en cines.
Netflix también la estrenará en formato físico, como hicieron con 'Pinocho'.
La experiencia en cines es muy importante. Creo en ella. Pero si la decisión es entre hacer la película y que partes del estreno se estrenen en cines y partes en streaming, o no hacer la película, es una decisión fácil. Como cineasta, quieres contar tus historias

Sabiendo que en tres semanas estará en Netflix, muy poca gente irá al cine, y lo saben. Tiene que ser algo muy gordo, como las últimas de Scorsese, para no poder esperar.

Parece que ha decepcionado en Venecia. Las críticas son decentes pero siendo un proyecto de toda una vida para Del Toro se esperaba más. He visto alguna referencia a Crimson Peak (mucho esteticismo y barroquismo, poca sustancia). A mí es una película que me encanta así que me la han vendido igualmente.

Al score de Desplat lo tienen por las nubes, grande y barroco.
No hago caso de los críticos, es Del Toro, me vale de sobras.

Lo de todo estilo y cero sustancia lo llevo escuchando ya unos años sobre las últimas películas de Del Toro.
Pero el caso es que me han gustado todas mucho, así que por mi parte ni caso.

A mí Pinocho me pareció una maravilla, una joya de la animación reciente.
La Forma del Agua me gustó mucho, es un Laberinto del Fauno made in USA pero es muy buena y Crimson Peak es una joya del terror de la pasada década (maravillosa partitura de Fernando Velázquez)

Es que Pinocho... Buff una de las películas más bellas y más tristes de los últimos años. Diría que una de las películas más maduras y enfocadas de Del Toro y una de las más bellas visiones sobre la muerte y la pérdida que he visto.

Pues a mí La Cumbre Escarlata es la única película que me gusta de Del Toro. Las más célebres, como El Laberinto del Fauno o La Forma del Agua, no me hacen mucha gracia.
