Jo... ya veo venir una adaptación de los Thundercats.
Munnnnnnra el inmortaaaal!!!
En movie web:
While out promoting his latest film Vantage Point, actor Dennis Quaid was approached about his participation in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Hasbro's G.I. Joe. When asked why he took the role, Quaid answered "Cause it's G.I. Joe. We grew up with G.I. Joe and it's kind of a cartoon thing. It's a big popcorn tent pole action movie. It's not deep. The character of General Hawk that I'm playing is kind of a cross between Chuck Yeager and Sgt. Rock. Maybe a naive Hugh Hefner thrown in there. General Hawk's aide to camp is a Victoria Secret supermodel so how serious can it be?"
About the bloodless action of the film, Quaid simply stated, "How did they do Spider-Man without blood. It's kind of the same deal." He then went on to describe the plot, "It's set in the future. In a way the Joe's are an international Special Forces group that mainly fights these terrorists groups that spring up. It's really more like James Bond. Where the evil mastermind has his own private island and all these people are wearing matching coveralls."
Will Dennis be sporting Hawk's trademark flattop? Don't count on it, "No, I don't think so. I'm Special Forces. I can do anything I want. I'm actually thinking about going a little blond. I'm actually lifting, trying to look like the cartoon."
Quaid then spilt this tiny bit of info, "Hopefully it is going to be a franchise. I am signed for three movies."
El rodaje ha comenzado hoy:

G.I. Joe Starts Filming Today
Source: The Associated Press
February 11, 2008
In an article talking about Hasbro's fourth quarter results, it was revealed that G.I. Joe starts shooting today:
Two Hasbro-related live-action movies are scheduled to be released in 2009 — Transformers 2 and G.I. Joe, based on the Hasbro action figure starts shooting Monday, Verrecchia said. Despite a Hollywood writers strike, there were no delays in the movies' production schedules, he said.
Paramount has scheduled an August 7, 2009 release date for the Stephen Sommers-directed action-adventure written by Stuart Beattie. Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller, Ray Park, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Said Taghmaoui, Marlon Wayans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Arnold Vosloo and David Murray star.
En movieweb cambios de última hora:
Christopher Eccleston substituye a David Murray.Despite being set to go into production any day now, there has been a last minute change in the G.I. Joe cast. According to IESB.net, David Murray, who was to star in the film as the Scottish Arms Dealer Destro has been replaced by Christopher Eccleston.
It seems that Murray had problems getting into the U.S. and getting his work visa in time for the film to begin production. Although the studio was looking forward to working with Murray, they chose to re-cast the role to allow filming to begin as planned.
Eccleston, who will be replacing Murray, is best known to American audiences for his role as The Doctor in the first season of the revitalized Doctor Who, and for his appearance as Claude (The Invisible Man) on Heroes.

Saliendo de los piratas del Caribe ahora salta a G.I.Joe como presidente de los USA.Jonathan Pryce has recently signed on to portray the President of the United States in Stephen Sommer's G.I. Joe. According to Latino Review, the President has a small but integral part in the Paramount Pictures action-adventure adaptation.
