La propia Maiwenn interpreta a Jeanne du Barry (concubina del rey) que da titulo a la pelicula
En el reparto también están los actores Benjamin Lavernhe, Pierre Richard , Melvil Poupaud, Noémie Lvovsky , Pascal Greggory e India Hair.
