search.es.ebay.com/search...g&from=R14

<a href="http://spanish.imdb.com/title/tt0064116/" target="top">
imdb: Runig Time</a>
<blockquote>Quote:<hr>Duración: 165 min / Germany:158 min (cut) / USA:140 min (theatrical version)<hr></blockquote>
imdb: Otras versiones
<blockquote>Quote:<hr>Many American prints are 20 minutes shorter than the original Italian version and delete, among others, all scenes featuring the bartender (Lionel Stander).
Even the original Italian version was heavily edited, obviously for time reasons; though the scenes cut from it were relatively unimportant (Frank getting a shave before the Flagstone auction, Harmonica being beaten by three deputies) they would nonetheless explain numerous things such as Harmonica's scars that are apparent towards the end of the movie but are not present early on.
The opening scene is several minutes shorter in the current American print, as, according to Christopher Frayling's biography of Leone, Leone's daughters Rafaella and Francesca appear as girls playing near the station - but in my copy of the VHS, no such girls appear.
In the U.S. versions issued by Paramount for pay-tv and home video, the ending score ("Finale"<img src=https://www.mundodvd.com/forum/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)"> is cut off during the ending credit roll and replaced with another section of the score titled "Farewell to Cheyenne."
The Italian DVD as an extended version of the movie. Running time 171 mns (standard version use in other countries running time are between 155 to 165 mns). The principal differences are the opening sequence, who is much longer (look at Jack Elem game with the fly), and the closing too (the panoramic shoot is complete before the titles C'ERA UNA VOLTA IL WEST appear). Another missing scene, who as disepear from all the European edit, is in it: after the station scene, Harmonica take his arm because he has a terrible pain in it, and return on his horse.
Paramount cut the film down to 140 minutes for its U.S. theatrical release. When it was run on U.S. network television, A.B.C. made edits to the 165 minute international version. Paramount's syndicated television version was also the international version (with edits). This meant that more of the film was shown on television than was seen in U.S. theatres.<hr></blockquote>Review enlazada por Archibald Alexander Leach
<blockquote>Quote:<hr>"Once Upon A Time In The West" had its problems on release. The American opening was not encouraging, and twenty minutes were removed, including the entire waystation sequence featuring a black-listed Lionel Stander, which rather compromises the relationship between Harmonica and Cheyenne. This footage has long been reincorporated into domestic versions, and is present and correct on this DVD. It is reputed that the original Italian version, released on a now out of print DVD, had a running time of 171 minutes, as opposed to the 159 minutes we have here, but this version (with the caveat of one odd structural flaw, discussed below) works splendidly.<hr></blockquote>

PUES EFECTIVAMENTE LA VERSION QUE YO
TENGO...

Re: PUES EFECTIVAMENTE LA VERSION QUE YO

CVC (Italy) Region 2 - PAL Once Upon a Time in the West vs. Paramount - Region 1- NTSC vs. Paramount Region 2- PAL

<blockquote>Quote:<hr>
A Two-perf Wonder
If there is a surprise among these recent releases, it must be Paramount's Once Upon a Time in the West*. I had forgotten that this Leone classic was a full-blooded spaghetti western, and not a western of domestic origination. Apparently voiced (when it was voiced during production) in various languages, you'll note that actors turn slightly away from the camera as they speak their lines, to make looping (or dubbing in English) an easier job.
The surprise here, however, is that as a Techniscope production I expected it to be of far lower quality than the final result.
Techniscope is a process, which was used in the mid-1960s, most prevalently, in a number of Italian westerns, as a budgetary device. Using only half the horizontal real estate of a 35mm frame, it yielded an image only two perforations in height. The trick was that a high quality image would be obtained via Technicolor dye transfer printing. As the printing matrices were produced not from dupes, but from the two perf Oneg, quality could be superb. Once the dye transfer process shut down, these productions became major optical problems, filled with high contrast, soft images and heavy optical grain.
Techniscope productions, almost be default, have flash frames, mis-lites, sync problems and poor stability of image on top of grain and contrast.
From what I've been told, the element used for the transfer was a 4 perf scope internegative, which is a third generation optical element. Paramount initially sent the dupe (which was obviously the best element available) to Post Logic for transfer to digital video. After transfer it made a trip over to Lowry Digital, where grain and other problems were attended to, and then a return trip to Post Logic for additional color fixes.
The color is right, the grain is right, the image is stable and has a fine contrast range.
Where everything could have easily gone against them, the folks at Paramount made each and every move in the right direction, and ended up with the veritable "silk purse."
Unexpectedly, Once Upon a Time in the West* is a beautiful representation of the film on DVD. It should be an addition to DVD libraries and is highly recommended.
