Produced by the winning team behind Alexandre Aja’s 2006 hit remake (namely original writer/director Wes Craven, original producer Peter Locke and Marianne Maddalena), THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2 is wrapping up shooting in Ouarzazate, Morocco. Based on the same recipe that made the remake of the 1977 Craven fave a success (young and promising European director + Moroccan locations + mutants born from nuclear experiments), the sequel—currently slated to open March 2 from Fox Atomic—nevertheless promises to be very different from the first installment, as it focuses on a team of National Guardsmen trapped inside a labyrinth of mines and underground tunnels in which a family of mutants has established their home. Most of the action therefore takes place in dark, claustrophobic, visually striking interiors—among the sets Fango visited was the Butcher’s Room, which delivered what its name promises and then some—rather than in the desert, and thus HILLS 2 seems more inspired by James Cameron’s ALIENS than by ’70s horror fare.
Helmed by German filmmaker Martin Weisz (whose reality-inspired cannibalism thriller GRIMM LOVE recently won Best Director, Best Actor and Best Cinematography prizes at the prestigious Sitges festival) from a script by Craven himself and his son Jonathan (who previously co-scripted his dad’s production MIND RIPPER), THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2 stars an impressive ensemble of good-looking up-and-coming actors, among them Michael McMillian, Jessica Stroup, Daniella Alonso (soon to be seen in another mutants-amok sequel, WRONG TURN 2), Jacob (JARHEAD) Vargas, Lee Thompson Young and Archie Kao, all set for an encounter with New Mexico’s most inhospitable inhabitants.
As for the villains themselves, one of the main inspirations for HILLS 2 was to give audiences an insight into their world, and special care has been put into making them look as realistic as possible. Michael Bailey Smith, the previous film’s Pluto, returns, this time in the role of lead mutant Hades; and he is joined by CURSED’s Derek Mears, David Reynolds and stuntman-turned-actor Tyrell Kemlo. Also back are the Academy Award-winning KNB EFX team, whose men on the field promise “plenty of blood and guts and makeup, and enough gags and slit throats to keep FANGORIA readers happy.”
From what this writer (pictured on the location) witnessed during filming, the movie will not only be delightfully gory, but will also feature enough fights and action scenes to satisfy any genre fan. A mí me gustó la primera, esperemos que al igual que con la matanza hagan una secuela de remake buena o por lo menos decente.

Pero con "La matanza..." han hecho una precuela, no secuela del remake, y no es ni buena ni decente.

No espero mucho de la segunda parte. La primera me encantó y no sé porqué me da que la segunda estará única y exclusivamente hecha para sacar más cuartos al personal...

Si, pero como ahora es la moda de las pelis de terror baratas, con lo que sobra del presupuesto del cateríng de la primera les vale para hacer la secuela. Además, como no la hagan rápido, la peña se olvida, más ahora, con la saturación de pelis por mes que tenemos.

¿Qué tiene el teaser de genial?
Es curioso, pero poco más. Muchos de los grandes bodrios del cine tienen teasers espectaculares.

Hummm,el visto el teaser,y francamente :cabreo no me acaba de convencer :cabreo me gusto mas la 1ª con esa atmosfera mal sana que tenia,que la secuela,aunque veremos...de momento no me acaba de convencer que digamos :disimulo

El teaser en HD descarga directa: 480P, 720P y 1080P.
No es nada del otro mundo, pero por fin sale un teaser de una película auténtico, que cumple su función correctamente, y que no sea un trailer camuflado de teaser.

El trailer no ha aumentado mis ganas de ver la película.
El tema de que los protas sean militares no me hace mucha gracia. Siempre prefiero ver a gente "supuestamente indefensa" en estas películas, que a una panda de machotes armados hasta los dientes en plan "Predator"
La veré, y posíblemente cuando saquen un pak con las dos partes (que lo sacarán), me haré con él, pero no la espero con demasiadas ganas.
Ah, y lo de la lengua....... :freak
