Hello, and thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com with your
concern.
I've looked into your account and found that when you placed your
order (#XXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX) for two books, you successfully
selected Expedited International delivery.
Typically, this delivery method would mean that DHL would bring your
package to the country, and from there the local postal service
would deliver it to you.
Unfortunately, it appears that through an error on our part, we sent
your package via Priority International delivery. Please accept my
sincere apologies for this mistake. Rest assured, we are
investigating the matter to ensure it does not occur again.
I would like to watch your account. When you receive your shipment,
please respond to this e-mail using the link below to tell us what
you were charged in customs fees. At that time, I'll look into what
we can do toward making the matter right and will keep you updated
on all steps taken, including and up to reimbursement if possible.
Please know that in general, we will not employ Priority
International Delivery without first gaining the permission of the
purchaser. The only exception to this is when a shipment has a cost
of $400.00 or more; such orders are automatically sent via a
trackable method regardless. This information is included in
our "Help" pages, however, and your order obviously does not meet
that exception.
It is very important to us that you have a shopping experience that
is easy, secure, and most importantly, stress-free. Your business
is important to us, but not as important as your satisfaction.
I hope that you will give us another opportunity to prove the
quality of our service. Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com.
