Te confirmo, además, que "La Momia" de Reizenstein era la BSO predilecta de Christopher lee dentro de su periplo por la Hammer. lo que equivale, por supuesto, al gran cariño que le tenía al film (de Drácula ya es sabido que acabó cansado). las dos últimas, especialmente, que estaban ambientadas en la era moderna, eran ya de por sí raquíticas. Se nota que los presupuestos ya eran muy bajos, aspecto éste que no me extrañaría que estuviese detrás del follón ése que aseguras que es "She", además, que ursula Andress siempre ha sido una intérprete muy limitada.
Lo más reciente que tengo visto de la Hammer, es "La Gorgona", hace unos añitos. Ahí sí que se encontraban los mejores valores que han mitificado al estudio.
Otra pista, el compositor es también el guionista, director, y co-productor de la película. Si con esto no sale, pongo el tema principal.

Lo que me retrotrae a las Furias de Titanes; la escena de la Medusa. Toda la secuencia en la de Harryhausen es bastante estática, sin planos móviles creo recordar, pero su aureola maléfica es en mi opinión más explícita y más lúgubre precisamente por el poder de sugerir más que poder verlo todo.
La misma secuencia en la de Sam Worthington es mucho más rápida y más explícita en la acción por encima del arte de sugerir. Más allá de los curiosos matices que aportan algunos personajes secundarios en su lucha contra la criatura, la secuencia no me parece tan atrayente desde el punto de vista de atmósfera malsana y pudriente maldad. Amén de la diferencia de testosterona que hay entre ambas secuencias (Harry Hamlin, La Ley de Los A´ngeles en TV, encima es un poco "demasiao" alfeñique )
Yo entiendo que acabara un poco hasta el gorro de Drácula. Y es que, en el Drácula de la Hammer, especialmente en las secuelas más tardías, había muy poquito personaje para desarrollar. El Drácula de la Hammer no requería de un gran intérprete, sino de uno imponente, con carisma y presencia escénica (Lee era imponente, tenía carisma y presencia escénica, pero además era un gran actor, y te das cuenta de ello cuando le oyes leer libros como Drácula o El Fantasma de la Ópera, donde hace de todos los personajes y te lo crees). Para un actor, debe de ser frustrante representar a un personaje así película tras película y que encima la gente sólo te recuerde por ello. Y creo que Lee no acabó de tener suerte con su carrera, y en cierto modo acabó encasillado. Creo que con su talento y cualidades pudo haber llegado mucho más lejos (¿por qué, con ese pedazo de voz, nunca hizo un musical?). Creo que nunca lamentaré lo suficiente que nunca interpretara en el cine al Fantasma, porque podría haber sido el mejor de la historia (sólo ya oírle en el audiolibro pone los pelos de punta). Y sólo se le asocia, por lo general, con villanos y chulazos (y con todo, tiene también personajes muy buenos en ese registro como el Kurt Menliff de La frustra e il corpo o Rasputín). Pero le ves luego en cintas como La novia del diablo, La gorgona, La momia, El monstruo, Doctor Terror... y adivinas un actor con muchos matices. Por cierto, La Momia, junto con La novia del diablo (a pesar del negro porrero, de los cutre-defectos especiales, de la cabra transgénica y demás) y La Gorgona quizá estaría en mi top-five hammeriano.
