Yo dije que está bien aprovechado y que por eso me gustó, no que sea mejor que el de "Avatar" o "El Hobbit". Que, por cierto, no sólo me parece acertado el uso del 3D en la parte del mar, sino también en la parte del zoo, la piscina, cuando charla con la chica en el puerto, etc...

Para mi la isla es un claro simbolismo de como llega un momento en el que él se deja llevar, o cree estar a salvo en un sitio equivocado, y casi renuncia a querer luchar por volver. De día tiene todo para comer y vivir, pero de noche todo se vuelve oscuro y casi canibal. Pero es el espíritu de Richard Parker (el espíritu de lucha) lo que le hace volver a la barca y seguir buscando su verdadera superviviencia.

The island in the novel Life of Pi represents many different things. The most noticeable of these is the religious symbolism.

The island represents a "Garden of Eden" for Pi, with sweet green algae and a limitless supply of fresh water. This idea of the island as the Garden of Eden continues as Pi discovers the twisted tree in the middle of the island with the small fruit. This tree represents the tree of knowledge in the Garden of Eden story. This is true because in finding the teeth embedded in the fruit Pi is given the knowledge that if he stays on the island he will die.

The island also represents the basis for a decision that Pi must make. He could decide to simply survive on the island even though it would kill him. He would eat the same fish and the same algae in the same setting for the rest of his life and his health would be no worse. However, Pi leaves the island in search of truly living. Thus, the island represents a crossroads for surviving and truly living.

So among many other smaller symbols, the island is significant due to its religious symbolism and the introduction of survival vs. truly living.

Para mi el significado de que no se de la vuelta es que el tigre, lo que le hizo ser fuerte y sobrevivir, ya no es necesario ya que ha encontrado tierra firme.

Yo estoy contento de haberla visto en 3D pero que también leí por otros sitios, también aquí que el 3D es de lo mejorcito.

Coincido que la parte del zoo también está muy bien en 3D pero aún gustándome, creo que podrían haber jugado más con la espacialidad. De todos modos como digo chapeu, mi novia y yo salimos muy contentos y con ganas de volver a verla dentro de un tiempo.

Con lo de la isla iba más un poco a ese significado de que por la mañana todo sea felicidad, por la noche todo lo contrario y sobre todo el hecho de esa muela, que se vuelva carnívora, caníbal.

Lo del tigre yo lo entendía un poco como que Pi había perdido esa niñez por la dureza de lo ocurrido. No mira atrás porque mirar atrás es mirar a lo malo que le ha ocurrido.
