Zelda Williams has decided to quit social media after harassment in the wake of her father’s death. Zelda Williams is abandoning her social media accounts after online bullying in the wake of her father's death has proved to be too much.
The 25-year-old daughter of Robin Williams said she's taking some time away from her Twitter and Instagram pages, saying the hurtful messages about her dad and judgment about her photos have been "cruel and unnecessary."
"I will be leaving this account for a while (while) I heal and decide if I'll be deleting it or not," she wrote in a lengthy
Instagram message.
"In this difficult time, please try to be respectful of the accounts of myself, my family and my friends. Mining our accounts for photos of dad, or judging me on the number of them is cruel and unnecessary. There are a couple throughout, but the real private moments I shared with him were precious, quiet, and believe it or not, not full of photos or 'selfies.'"
