What makes Megalopolis so strange and, for a big-budget Hollywood film, so singular, is that, just like Vergil’s Aeneid, it is at once accretive, allusive, and idiosyncratic because Coppola is attempting something very few artists have ever done: to speak from inside the imperial organism, even as it begins to crack, and to craft a vision that is both a monument to its grandeur and a requiem for its decline.

Las críticas están siendo excelentes, el reparto es fantastico, y se comenta que el guión adaptado es una pieza de orfebrería.

Si tienes Netflix, Otto+, ya estás tardando en ver The King. Chalamet está fantástico como Enrique V de Inglaterra, y la pelicula es de lo mejor del año.
El chaval es el mejor actor de su generación (¡23 años!), como Saoirse es la mejor actriz de la suya (¡25 años!). Encima han trabajado juntos varias veces, son grandes amigos y tienen, como decía Tripley, una quimica impresionante que hacía mucho que no se veía en una pantalla de cine.

Los amigos de Saoirse son mis amigos. No tengo Netflix, a decir verdad estoy a la espera de que se estabilice el mercado de oferta, se autoregule un poco y decida entonces.

Yo es que veo a estos tres (porque menuda tercera pata para el banco que es Florence Pugh, ¡23 años también!) en ese plan y me da por pensar en una nueva versión de cierta novelita de Choderlos de LaclosIniciado por Branagh/Doyle
