En original hay bastante competencia. Un par de nombres o tres de estos, se sustituirán en los Oscar, creo yo.
Aún así, me gusta ver Deadpool por ahí. Ya no es solo la crítica y algunos fans que la adoramos.
Lo que sí es habitual (para mal) es que Silencio de Scorsese, pueda pasar desapercibida. Productores y directores tienen la palabra para que no sea así.

La Academia de Hollywood dio a conocer ayer los galardonados en los Oscars cientificos y técnicos. Son los siguientes:

TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS (ACADEMY CERTIFICATES)

-To Thomson Grass Valley for the design and engineering of the pioneering Viper FilmStream digital camera system.
The Viper camera enabled frame-based logarithmic encoding, which provided uncompressed camera output suitable for importing into existing digital intermediate workflows.

-To Larry Gritz for the design, implementation and dissemination of Open Shading Language (OSL).
OSL is a highly optimized runtime architecture and language for programmable shading and texturing that has become a de facto industry standard. It enables artists at all levels of technical proficiency to create physically plausible materials for efficient production rendering.

-To Parag Havaldar for the development of expression-based facial performance-capture technology at Sony Pictures Imageworks.
This pioneering system enabled large-scale use of animation rig-based facial performance-capture for motion pictures, combining solutions for tracking, stabilization, solving and animator-controllable curve editing.

-To Nicholas Apostoloff and Geoff Wedig for the design and development of animation rig-based facial performance-capture systems at ImageMovers Digital and Digital Domain.

Me parece de coña marinera que nominen a Cafe Society y Fences,y que se olviden de Live by Night y Silence...

Silencio también se queda fuera de la dirección artística, y normalmente si no estás ahí, no estás en ese apartado en los Oscar. Mala pinta.

No he visto Fences,la película,pero si clips y detrás de las cámaras,y por supuesto he visto Cafe Society,y por favor,lo que se ve está a años luz de lo que transmite el Arte de Silence y Live by Night.
Lo de la película de Affleck me lo podía oler,ya que aunque tecnicamente sea muy buena las reviews la van a perjudicar,pero lo de Silence?

Anda que como también se lleve el oscar se va a liar una buena: Cannes en un extremo y la Academia en otro premiando lo mismo

Bueno, es que en esa categoría el funcionamiento es más complicado de lo que crees. En primera fase de votación, tres grupos de voluntarios de distintos gremios se dividen la tarea. Porqueu son tantas películas que es imposible prácticamente ver todas (teniendo en cuenta que les llegan en la recta final prácticamente) y además no tienen por qué verlas todas. Hay un porcentaje (el 65 por ciento) que señala la regla.
De esos tres grupos, salen los votos (del 6 al 10) y el comite ejecutivo, formado por 20 miembros, recibe los datos de las 6 que más votos han acumulado. Ese comité ejecutivo discute los resultados y añade 3 películas más.

Por lo tanto, en esa primera fase no es de extrañar que pueda aparecer una de Dolan, porque intervienen muchos factores:
Que haya sido directamente seleccionada por el comité ejecutivo
Que haya sido proyectada en la primera semana de los screenings, y por tanto, la haya visto más gente, ...

Ya digo, no es tan sencillo como cualquiera podría pensar.
