El colectivo GLAAD (Gays and Lesbian Alliance Againts Defamation) entrega cada año sus premios, los GLAAD Media Awards, para distinguir en distintos ámbitos (cine, televisión, prensa, etc...) loables representaciones de este colectivo en esos medios, sus asuntos, etc...
