Junto a Queen , McCartney, Lennon y otros grupos/solistas, Pink Floyd también se suma a las correspondientes reediciones de su fondo de catálogo. Como podéis leer en la noticia, las expectativas del lanzamiento son más que atractivas, con sorpresas incluidas.

Pink Floyd Studio Reissues to Begin on September 26

EMI will start its Pink Floyd reissue campaign in a big way starting on September 26 with the beginning salvos of remastered DISCOVERY Editions of the band’s fourteen studio releases. And this is just the start of it for Pink Floyd Fans.

On the same date, EMI will release expanded editions of Dark Side Of The Moon that include a 6Disc IMMERSION Boxset with CD/DVD/BD as well as a 2Disc EXPERIENCE Edition (the album with related materials).

On November 7, EMI continues with the expected release of A Foot In The Door: The Best Of Pink Floyd, which will be a single disc collection. But even better (and certainly one that MANY of us have been waiting for) will be the reissue (and expanded) of Wish You Were Here. Wish You Were Here is expected to be released in a 5Disc IMMERSION Boxset as well as a 2Disc EXPERIENCE Edition. (Animals? Please?)

On February 27, 2012, The Wall fans will get their favorite album in a 7Disc IMMERSION Boxset and a 3Disc Experience Edition.

The reissue campaign (referred to as ‘Why Pink Floyd…?’, will no doubt revisit every studio release of Pink Floyd with elaborate remastered/expanded sets, creating a new paradigm for definitive reissues (yet again).

All sets have employed Storm Thorgerson to create new artwork. The sets will also provide new booklets for every set.
