From my point of view these are the key areas that need urgent attention by LG and via a Firmware Update - Crosstalk and Brightness Fluctuations, particulary in THX Mode.

Can we all group together and email the following key personnel at LG and THX with our feedback - can WE ALL PLEASE USE SAME SUBJECT: PX990 UNHAPPY CUSTOMER FEEDBACK!

Simon.kang@Lge.com - President Consumer Home Entertainment

James.kim@Lge.com - President LGE Europe

Laurie.fincham@THX.com - THX Director of Engineering

Numbers really matter here guys, so please email your comments and try and keep it to the above bullet points. Or nothing will improve!!!

Dear Sirs,

Can you please address the following faults with the 50PX990:

-Crosstalk in the THX 3D Mode especially (blurring of left/right images)

-Brightness Fluctuations (bursts of brightness) *

Plus why it always reverts to Vivid when 3D is selected and not THX Cinema 3D, but then not back to my Expert Preset after leaving 3D Mode for 2D?

I look forward to LG addressing these important points, as currently I cannot make full use and enjoy the 3D side of this otherwise excellent TV.

Can you please respond to this email.

Sincerely

Mr ***** ******

And my english nick is Ray.*I have recently got your complaints about 3D feature of the PX990, LG Plasma TV*from my boss and LG*UK office. And also, I have read the customers' thread on AVForums.com.
*
1. Crosstalk in the THX 3D Mode especially (blurring of left/right images)***: According to our analysis, x-talks are Panasonic 1.9% >*LG 2.2% >*SS 3.5% and others. *

2. Brightness Fluctuations (bursts of brightness), flickers***: The initial released 3D glassess, version S100*had some brightness fluctuations, but the lastest 3D glasses, ver. S110 *has no problem.

3.*Why it always reverts to Vivid when 3D is selected and then not back to my Expert Preset after leaving 3D Mode?***: We worked done the improvement of software. That S/W is examining on our*quality assurance now. After the test, we will release the new version s/w within 2 weeks through a service team of the LG UK office.*If you want to get the new s/w in advance, I can send you it. And please, let me know your addresses.Looking forward to waiting your reply email.**

Best regards,Ray (DongHwan)

The above is the e-mail I (and a lot of others) received and it seems they are blaming the glasses, not the set. Which is wierd if you can see it without glasses on. But there is some conversations starting to happen which can be a good thing, hopefully.
