I have not done a blind test, but I have tested lots and lots of subwoofers. The differences are such that a blind test is not needed but this fact would only make the blind test easier. The problem with a blind test in this case is that swapping from one system to another takes time, so a true blind test is impossible without 2 system you can quickly switch between. To conduct the test, you will need a sealed sub and a ported sub, each using the same speaker and amplifier. The sealed sub will need to be dual speaker to compete with the low end spl output of the ported one.

If you can promise these conditions then we have a good basis for this test.
