NO me compré T2 (chapuza al canto), NO me compré ET (otra chapuza) y NO me compraré esta trilogía (y por lo que se ve o se oye, otra chapuza de edición).

entrevista a Lucas en la CNN. Creo que no lo habeis puesto y algunos os va a interesar mucho

LUCAS: To me, the special edition ones are the films I wanted to make. Anybody that makes films knows the film is never finished. It's abandoned or it's ripped out of your hands, and it's thrown into the marketplace, never finished. It's a very rare experience where you find a filmmaker who says, "That's exactly what I wanted. I got everything I needed. I made it just perfect. I'm going to put it out there." And even most artists, most painters, even composers would want to come back and redo their work now. They've got a new perspective on it, they've got more resources, they have better technology, and they can fix or finish the things that were never done. ... I wanted to actually finish the film the way it was meant to be when I was originally doing it. At the beginning, people went, "Don't you like it?" I said, "Well, the film only came out to be 25 or 30 percent of what I wanted it to be." They said, "What are you talking about?" So finally, I stopped saying that, but if you read any interviews for about an eight- or nine-year period there, it was all about how disappointed I was and how unhappy I was and what a dismal experience it was. You know, it's too bad you need to get kind of half a job done and never get to finish it. So this was my chance to finish it.

Q: Why not release both the originals and special editions on DVD?

LUCAS: The special edition, that's the one I wanted out there. The other movie, it's on VHS, if anybody wants it. ... I'm not going to spend the, we're talking millions of dollars here, the money and the time to refurbish that, because to me, it doesn't really exist anymore. It's like this is the movie I wanted it to be, and I'm sorry you saw half a completed film and fell in love with it. But I want it to be the way I want it to be. I'm the one who has to take responsibility for it. I'm the one who has to have everybody throw rocks at me all the time, so at least if they're going to throw rocks at me, they're going to throw rocks at me for something I love rather than something I think is not very good, or at least something I think is not finished.<hr></blockquote>

Que pesao Bud. Lo único que me interesa de esta edición es el disco de extras, y sólo por ese disco no me la voy a comprar.

Por si fuera poco, es una edición defectuosa, como parece confirmarse. En fin... pa quien la quiera.

Esa excusa no me vale, porque el trabajo ya está hecho. A saber:

Peliculas originales restauradas = X millones de dólares.
Películas originales restauradas + absurdos efectos nuevos + estúpidas escenas nuevas + barrabasadas varias nuevas = X + Y millones de dólares.

Me imagino que los de la ILM habrán trabajado sobre esos originales restaurados para añadir todo lo que nos vamos a encontrar mañana, asi que no le hubiera costado demasiado sacar una edición (aunque fuera muy limitada) con ese material previo al crimen... digo a la edición especial 2004.

Y lo del disco de extras, como se de uno que se lo compra, yo me lo tuesto... aunque en la fnac del Triangle en BCN estaban el otro dia poniendo un docu (no se si sería el del dvd) y lo poco que vi no me pareció ni la mitad de bueno que los que ya había visto hace tiempo (cuando Lucas era joven y no retocaba las cosas)

Esa entrevista ya se habia puesto, Woody, y es lo de siempre: q para el las nuevas son las q siempre habia querido. Pues vale, hemos tenido la "mala suerte" de estar 20 años con esa peliculas "medio-hechas" q solo eran "un 25-30%" de lo q el queria haber hecho.

Es curioso como usa las mismas excusas q he oido por aqui: q si los demas tb las revisitarian si pudieran, q si escritores o pintores lo han hecho... Infantil.

Lo mas infantil, la punta del iceberg, es el origen de todo este hilo: q no le da la gana de sacar las antiguas. Q intente justificarlo encima con excusas MONETARIAS ya es lo ultimo.

No, el hizo unas peliculas, ahora unicamente quiere a su manera mejorarlas.

decir que es una pelicula medio hecha las antiguas o solo el 25 % , cosa que eso si que LUCAS no ha dicho , si me parece demagogia barata.


el origen de este post es hablar de SW en general, no de que Lucas no le da la gana sacar las antiguas.

esta diciendo claramente que el considera una pelicula incompleta las originales, no que esten a MEDIO HACER , ni al 25 ni al 30 ni a nada como veo que muchos quieren coger el significado mas exagerado que se puede buscar para seguir reafirmandose en sus argumentos.

me sorprende que me pregunte esto alguien que pretende pillarse las 2 ediciones ademas.
