OK, I think I can say a bit more about this now. So we were contacted around February this year by Darren Melbourne, a director at Retro Games Ltd, asking if we were interested in creating a mini CRASH magazine for a new "Spectrum Mini" that was under development. I met up with Darren in a hotel in Manchester, and we pretty much, over dinner, came up with a plan for the contents of the magazine. The existing CRASH magazine team put the magazine together and it was signed off in May this year.
I was at the time getting the rights to 3D Tank Duel and the Starstrike games from Realtime Software - so getting these games onto the device was also discussed.
In addition - I helped sort out getting the rights to Ant Attack and put Darren in touch with a few other industry names such as Malcolm Evans and Steve Crow.
Darren also helped with introductions with Rebellion, who own the rights to Dropzone and the Hewson back catalogue. This new relationship with Rebellion is opening up a number of doors for future projects - I would like to publically thank Darren for his help there.
We are planning to have these guys at CRASH Live! - this was agreed way back in February. The next steps is to discuss in what context etc.
