"There’s this misconception these days that a thematic score means a dated-sounding score. This, of course, is a cop out. There’s no reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater. The art of composing modern scores is the having the skill set to keep motifs alive while being relevant. But too many times, newer composers have no idea what fully developed themes are because they grew up on scores that are nothing more than ostinatos and “buahs.”

Bueno, en realidad yo diria que el James Gunn “puro” es gamberro, macarra, y socarrón, bastante alejado de lo que entenderíamos por un cineasta colorido y familiar. Veremos como ha adaptado esas sensibilidades tan acusadas al Superman pre crisis.Iniciado por DITC
Desde mi humilde opinión es que comparar a Gunn con Snyder o viceversa no tiene sentido alguno. Básicamente porque son estilos totalmente opuestos. Zack era seriedad y oscuridad mientras que Gunn es colorido y tono familiar. A mi la trilogía de Cavill me gustó pero no fue demasiado exitosa y de ahí a este reinicio. Como pelis tampoco es que fueran peliculones, solo hay que visitar alguna web como filmaffinity (por ejemplo) aunque a mi me pudieran agradar. Contratar a James Gunn tenía y tiene sentido ya que guardianes de la galaxia, escuadrón suicida 2, la serie el pacificador o la reciente creatures commandos demuestran que como cineasta malo tampoco es. Lo que no me ha gustado es que su idea original para la peli de Superman en plan episódico lo dejara de lado por las supuestas reacciones mixtas… de todos modos le doy el beneficio de la duda y el día del estreno en la sala estaré

Totalmente de acuerdo. Ya sé que Gunn es un gamberro, con ver por ejemplo algún capi de Creature Commandos salimos de dudas pero me refería al tono usado en los trailers de Superman. Muy colorido y contrario a lo visto anteriormente con Zack, parece buscar un target más familiar. Aunque claro, no dejan de ser pequeños avances… habrá que ver la peli al completo para saber si es tan “correcto”

A mí también me habría gustado lo de los días de la semana, como en "La semana más larga"- Superman homenajeando a Súper López, el círculo se habría cerrado(y por lo visto, no andará muy lejos en cuanto a tono).

James Gunn puro es el de Troma y que tenia esos ecos precisamente en Escuadron Suicida (absurdo, totalmente autoparodico, desacomplejado, gore y totalmente desnortado)
Y mato porque este hombre volviese a algo como Slither
