I’ve confirmed directly with studio sources that, like their recent Cinderella (1950) 4K UHD, this has been carefully remastered from a brand new 4K scan of the original camera negative! So it should look fantastic, and you can see a before-and-after restoration comparison here...

Also, I’ve confirmed that there was an error on the first version of the press release for this title that went out early this morning. The audio on the 4K will not be lossy Dolby Digital Plus but rather lossless 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, along with a 2.0 Dolby Digital mix that reflects the original mono sound experience. So this release is yet one more indication that Disney as a studio is really turning their physical media operation around in the right direction.

Veo un tinte algo azulado al igual que Cenicienta, pero Cenicienta es un trabajo milagroso y me fío mucho de los dos animadores que están supervisando la remasterización, son de los mejores y estoy seguro que están haciendo un maravilloso trabajo. También pienso que se verá mejor en movimiento que en una de estas comparativas, que no son muy de fiar.

Me alegro que Disney meta un 5.1 en vez de un 7.1 que me parece un poco fuerte para una película con casi 85 años si no los tiene ya. De hecho para mí lo suyo sería que hubiera dos opciones DTS HD MA, estéreo y mono. Y nos dejamos de 5.1 en estas películas.. pero vamos, por mi como si lo ponen en Dolby Digital, para mí lo estelar será la imagen.

Según se menciona en The Digital Bits, la pista mono original se incluiría, aunque vendría en una pista Dolby Digital con pérdidas.
