BURBANK, CA (April 30, 2025) - This year marks the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the genre-defying cult classic that transformed midnight cinema and inspired a global phenomenon. First introduced to audiences in 1975, the film quickly became more than just a movie - it sparked a movement.

Based on the musical play by Richard O’Brien - with a screenplay by O’Brien and director Jim Sharman, and produced by Lou Adler and Michael White - The Rocky Horror Picture Show broke the mold with its unforgettable characters, flamboyant costumes, and audacious rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack. Through its legendary late-night screenings, complete with shadow casts, fan costumes, and interactive rituals, the film pioneered a new kind of audience participation that redefined the moviegoing experience. Today, with weekly screenings around the world, The Rocky Horror Picture Show continues to make history as the longest-running theatrical release of all time.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary, a newly restored and remastered version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be unleashed in breathtaking 4K Ultra HD, and crowned by the debut of a dazzling new anniversary logo.

Overseen by the Walt Disney Studios Restoration team, the 10-month project included a meticulous digital scan and preservation process that ensures every frame of the cult classic is presented with unprecedented clarity and vibrancy. The restoration also features a newly mixed Dolby Atmos audio track, bringing enhanced depth and dimension to the film’s iconic soundtrack. For purists and longtime fans, the original mono audio has been fully restored as well - allowing audiences to experience the film exactly as it was heard when it first premiered five decades ago.

Esperemos que traiga audio en Castellano

Como el 99% de las películas que salen seguramente no tendrá.

Sin ocultar que soy un firme detractor del doblaje (cualquiera), este título en concreto me parece que no tiene sentido alguno doblado en castellano; es de esas películas que no tienen ni sentido ni gracia, sin ser en V.O.

Hombre yo no iba por ahí, en casa por la noche con toda la familia se ve doblado, tenemos mayores.

Mi comentario iba más porque nuestro país ha sido totalmente abandonado y llevamos ya un año que la mayoría de películas no salen, solo hay que entrar en Blu-ray.com y entrar a calendario y ver que por cada 100 ediciones aquí te sale una docena y con suerte.

Y aun así la gente sigue sorprendida en cada hilo de que se nos excluye.

Tal vez sería hora de dividir los subforos en uno para ediciones extranjeras y otro para ediciones con castellano o que salen aquí así nos ahorraríamos el día de la marmota en cada hilo

Yo creo que la "sorpresa" ya no es tal, al menos mayoritariamente: la gente que se queja suele ser siempre la misma, y eso que saben perfectamente lo que hay.

Ya se ha propuesto anteriormente, y si lo piensas bien no tiene ningún sentido: habría que mover hilos de un sitio a otro en función de ediciones posteriores, y como bien dices, uno de esos "subforos" estaría condenado de muerte.

Y que subtitulen en castellano los extras, a diferencia del blu ray...

Habrá steeelbook:

Siendo que esta peli no tiene doblaje castellano (Se habla de un supuesto doblaje de Canal+ pero no se encuentra) me entra la duda de si Disney va a meterle, al menos subtítulos en castellano, y si fuera así si Divisa traería el steelbook, siendo que ya no trae nada con discos VOSE debido a la tremenda alergia que se le tiene por aquí a titulos editados en VOSE.

Ojalá me equivoque, pero me da a mi que no. Mas que nada por ahorrar gastos y pillar en el país, que es lo suyo.
