Recuerdo que ese tono verdoso fue a partir de las dos secuelas, y luego los (las ahora) wachoskis (como se escriba) cambiaron la colometría de la original y ardió troya en internet... que épocas! que recuerdos! nostalgia total, fue la era de mis primeros proyectores, el inicio de esdla, la el inicio de la década de los 2000s fue especial para mí.
Es totalmente como dices, fueron los propios Wachowski quienes les pareció correcto hacer el cambio de color para parecerse más a las secuelas. Fijaos en esta comparativa entre el BD y el DVD(Este lanzado antes de las secuelas) como el primero verdea y el segundo tiene una tonalidad más neutra.

supongo que la info oficial está al caer...Also today, we’ve now gotten confirmation from retailers that Warner is planning to release a new 4K Ultra HD version of The Matrix – at least the original film. Look for that in May or June, after the release of Warner’s 2001: A Space Odyssey 4K UHD release, currently expected in April. We would expect to see official announcements by the studio in the coming weeks.

In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Bros. is prepping The Matrix for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on May 22.
This special effects-driven tale follows Keanu Reeves and Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy-nominee Laurence Fishburne on an explosive futuristic sci-fi adventure about a man who comes to believe that his everyday world is the product of a complex computer-driven digital matrix that feeds on humans. In his dangerous quest to find out the truth, he must figure out who is real and who he can trust.
The Ultra HD Blu-ray will feature a 2160p transfer with Dolby Vision and HDR10 sourced from a new 4K remaster of the original camera negative supervised by director of photography Bill Pope. In addition, a new Dolby Atmos audio track will be included as well. Likewise, the Blu-ray disc bundled in the 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray/Digital combo pack will also feature remastered video sourced from the new 4K scan along with the Dolby Atmos mix.
Supplements on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc will include:
