Tripictures comentó que el acuerdo con Coppola era solo para su exhibición en cines. Nada más. Ni siquiera para streaming o compra digital. Así que ya veremos. Otra editora podría perfectamente dar un paso adelante y llegar a un acuerdo para editarla aquí.Iniciado por Signs

Me encantaría que fuese A Contracorriente para físico y digital. Pero en el caso del formato físico, A Contracorriente no edita en UHD, ¿correcto?

The film was shot by the director’s frequent cinematographer, Mihai Mălaimare Jr., with the Alexa 65 and Alexa LF (and Alexa Mini LF for second unit) to convey something radically different: imagery that is more metaphorical by design with the look of a woven mural or tapestry.

Habría que decir que no edita mucho, de hecho, de memòria, solo recuerdo Cinema Paradiso y Crash.
Aunque tienen los derechos en España de muchas películas que sí se han editado en 4k fuera.
Especulo que quizá esos dos lanzamientos se debieron a una buena oportunidad de mercado, y quizá, en el futuro, sí se dan parecidas oportunidades haya más lanzamientos.

Es que me estoy imaginando una edición coleccionista de la suyas, a ser posible con el cómic (de inminente lanzamiento), y el documental de Mike Figgis sobre el film, y se me hace la boca agua.

He visto que en la página web de los viñedos de Coppola (la parte que le queda, entiendo), venden no sólo vino, sino también comida: embutidos, pasta, aperitivos varios. Hacen envíos a Europa.
Si yo fuese el lo que haría lo siguiente: por cada pedido que supere X cantidad de dinero, se reserva una copia firmada del futuro DVD, BD, o UHD de Megalópolis.
Negocio seguro. Y ya que estamos, podría abrir un crowdfunding para ayudar en la financiación de su siguiente película.
