Se confirma la salida del DC de Star Trek la película en 4k-UHD, al menos en USA, para septiembre, antes en abril en streaming en Paramount+.

Pues yo esta peli la vi hace tela de años, creo que fue cuando el Paramount Network era un canal reciente o nuevo, asi que tuvo que ser 2012 o 2013 como menos. Recuerdo que me gustó, era buenísima. Nunca he visto el director's cut, no sé que tal será ni las diferencias que hay, ni si es una peli diferente, o si solo son nuevas escenas, etc..

Igualmente, es increíble que se haga esto. Se nota que Star Trek da pasta porque casi nunca se hace este rollo de reconstruir los efectos originales para poder presentar una nueva versión no solo en HD sino en 4K. Y se hace con mucho cuidado y cariño. Ya faltaría saber la opinión de la gente si los nuevos efectos desentonan o no, yo creo que no, ¿eh? Por lo menos lo que se ve. A ver en la comparación se ve diferencia pero que si no comparas y ves la peli tal como está casi ni te das cuenta.

Con lo costoso que es hacer una cosa como esta... pero Paramount lo hace porque Star Trek da pasta, y eso es bueno.

De la 3 y la 4 también hay versión del director?

A ver si dicen algo de la 5 y la 6 que faltan...

No, solo de la 1 y la 2.

Yo creo que al final sacarán toda la saga en UHD, pero no van a sacarlas todas a la vez, que además remasterizar una peli sola tarda meses. Pero esta claro que saldrán. Lo tengo seguro. Star Trek es una franquicia enorme.

Bill Hunt asistió a una proyección especial del nuevo máster en 4K del director´s cut este lunes y parece que las impresiones son muy positivas:

For the first time ever, this film feels whole, polished... finished. The 4K remastering is tremendous, done with an eye towards delivering to the screen every bit of detail present in the original negative, and done by people who know this film better than anyone. Much (though not all) of the original VistaVision and 65 mm VFX negative has been located and scanned in 6K or 8K resolution, which allowed the Director’s Edition team to re-composite many shots that had previously suffered from multiple generations of image loss and matte lines caused by optical printing. And seeing those shots projected on the big screen is nothing short of breathtaking. The film has finally been given a proper color grade, to restore the director’s intended look. There’s one completely new shot early in the film, and all of the revisited Director’s Edition VFX are lovely and well integrated. For the first time seeing this movie, one truly understands the internal geography of V’Ger. And the Director’s Edition scene additions and extensions round out the dramatic arcs and enhance character moments.

But I must tell you, every bit as good as the imagery is the new sound mix. My goodness! The DE team has found all kinds of original ADR recordings (including Wise’s preferred takes, a few of which never made it into the theatrical version), along with background dialogue, sound effects, and proper music cues. All of those have been digitally remastered from original recordings to create a clear, clean, robust, and unified soundscape. You’ll hear things in these scenes now that were always intended to be there, but which Wise and company never had time to include, or that simply got buried in the original and rushed 1979 sound mix. And Jerry Goldsmith’s magnificent score is presented with thrilling fidelity. I actually heard instrumentation in a few cues I’d never noticed before. I can’t wait to hear this in full Atmos (the theater on the Paramount lot is not so equipped).

La película está ya disponible en Paramount + en USA. Deseando ver la edición en UltraHD en septiembre…

Se ha avistado esto.. parece un pack con las películas 1 a 6.



Imagino que dentro de poco, días o semanas, sabremos mas información, pero está clarísimo que este otoño veremos más Star Trek en 4K, vendrán la Director's Cut de la primera y las dos películas faltantes del "cast original."

Espero que el UHD no tenga el grano congelado/ralentizado y poco organico que tiene en Paramount+

Supongo que sera por un tema de tamaño/ancho de banda y no pasara en el UHD. El resto, colores y definicion se ve muy bien.

Esta es mi peli favorita de ST, asi que no la cagues Paramount.

Ese bonus disc me la pone muy dura, pero esta vez NO pienso pasar por esta edición "coleccionista", que la verdad no la veo para tanto. Me las arreglaré de otros modos..

Personalmente; yo iría a por el pack de las 6 pelis en UHD, cuando lo traiga Divisa; aunque el precio va a ser gordito, por lo menos 100 euros no se los quita nadie; aunque le tengo ganas, para mi que tendrá que esperar al año que viene.. creo que el pack tiene ese disco, pero me espero a confirmación.

Aparte, la Collector's Edition tiene además la Super Long Version, que es la version de la peli estrenada en 1983 en TV en ABC con 10 minutos más de película sin terminar.

Anda, pues parece que sí, que el bonus disc estará en el pack con 6 películas. Lo unico que falta en este y que es verdaderamente exclusivo de la coleccionista es el "Special Longer Cut." y puedo vivir sin el, que son 10 minutos de escenas sin terminar..

Imagino que en Septiembre, Divisa editará el packote, imagino que combo con Blu-ray. Y que el Director's Edition también vendrá (imagino), ¿y la coleccionista también? Si tiene castellano, Divisa suele cumplir..

Me interesa la edición superchachi de la primera, en director's cut.

La edición superfriki de la 1 es más que interesante.
